Whoa! I love hearing a release date that isn't super far off.

Looks like it's gonna end up being one of those Friday morning shows.

People who watched Rectify live last year: how long does it usually take for an episode to show up online? I can't imagine a show on the Sundance Channel is exactly high priority for the people who post shows online.
I think that this conversation was gonna come up anyway, assuming that Community stays dead. People were probably waiting until that news was made final to start thinking of options, though.
Because that's the word that many Americans who want to sound "worldly" will use to refer to soccer. I wouldn't be surprised if many people are under the impression that Brazil is a Spanish speaking country, and maybe they're trying to capitalize on that? Or maybe they just don't know the difference.
Yeah, the analogy doesn't quite apply so strictly to AD now that I think about it. It's not quite as scathing on its characters as Sunny, but empathetic moments aside, I would still say that a large chunk of the humorous moments in AD come from making the characters the butt of the joke.
I'm trying to figure out whether the fact that we can't really like anyone is what makes me feel that way about Veep. Arrested Development and Always Sunny are two other shows with a cast of characters designed to be unlikable, and I would call those shows two of my favorite comedies. I think the difference is that…
It might make my top 15. I probably won't get around to compiling a list, though.
So much good TV was on this year that it's tough to parse it down. I'm just gonna list some good TV that stuck with me, in no particular order.
I think I'm the same way with Veep. It gets better every year, but it has so many fundamental flaws in its style of storytelling that I'll never be able to rank it among my favorites.
I'll probably be finishing Arrow tonight (four episodes to go and ain't nothin' stoppin' this train), so I'll probably start True Detective within the next few days. I'm very, very curious just to see what all the fuss is about, since there have been so many varied reactions to the show.
I like that Arrow both shows that the CW can produce great shows and that you can have great shows produced within the constraints of network TV, but sometimes I sorta wish it had the language censorship of a cable show. The obvious network mandates of language like the "frickin"s and the "screw you"s sometimes take…
My only job is summer RA'ing at a dorm on campus, so I've basically had nothing but free time over the past month or so. It's probably the last time in my life that I'll have this much free time, so I guess it's good to use it to catch up on a bunch of shows I'd probably never have time for in the future.
Are you caught up yet or not? I only started on Sunday, and I'm both proud and ashamed that I'm already at S02E18, with no immediate plans to stop until I finish out the season.
I'm always amused by the fact that whenever they want Oliver to go into vigilante mode on Arrow, they have a dramatic transition shot of him grabbing his bow before anything else. It's funny because at some point, presumably 5 seconds after they cut away, he's going to have to put the bow down to change into his…
My wacky adventures involve sitting in this lounge chair for far too many hours and mainlining way too many episodes of Arrow in one day.
I think that's the one where his parents were killed by giant spiders or something.
I'm both surprised and disappointed that it took this long for that to be brought up.
