Apparently, Jim Rash will be on tomorrow's Glee, playing the head of Fox.
2011 called, they want their easy literary target back!
eh
This was pretty far from necessary viewing. The episode itself was a long unremarkable and plotless showcase, and while the last minute offered at least something different for the show, it means nothing without knowing how it'll play out. If you already stopped caring about the show a long time ago, this episode…
You do realize this is a direct quote from the show, right?
According to Sepinwall's review and interview with Schur, season 7 will move forward from the time jump, which is not at all what I expected (I expected that to be a HIMYM-style teaser flashforward, with season 7 continuing on from 2014). That's an… interesting choice.
BAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Seeing as she technically already took the job, I don't think ending with her not going back on that would make much of a change. This episode has been pretty boring and noneventful so far.
Honestly, I'd still recommend that anyone just go ahead and watch seasons 2 and 3. Regardless of how disappointing the past several years have been, seasons 2 and 3 are still some of the strongest seasons of comedy I've ever watched.
If they do have her move, she'll be back by the end of next season, guaranteed. Unless they decide to pull a Glee and permanently split the characters, which I doubt.
Thus far, I've come to realize that Pavel's two minute nonspeaking appearance this season on Community made me smile more than this entire season of Parks has.
BOLD PREDICTION: This episode will air and it won't leave a particularly strong impression on me and I won't laugh very much.
I don't think the gimmick has lost its appeal so much as the writers have apparently just stopped being able to think of good ones. A good chunk of S5's episodes follow the "[thing] and [unrelated thing]" template, and those are always just awkward to say and type. I'm also fairly sure that the writers just went ahead…
I mean, it's one of the better season 4 episodes in my eyes, but I'm not one to jump to defend it or anything (I think I gave it a B+ in the context of season 4 - entertaining but nothing to fawn over). It's definitely the season 4 episode that would fit most seamlessly in tone with most of the rest of the show,…
I feel like two documentary episodes might be unnecessary if we're trying to get a representative spread of the show, however great those two episodes may be. I'm also not sure how much merit there is in putting Horror Fictions on there - the template is pretty drastically different from anything else the show ever…
ALRIGHT I'M DOING THIS WHILE BARELY PUTTING ANY THOUGHT INTO IT GO GO GO
In my season 5 rewatch, I noticed that they bleep some of Jeff's cursing during his standup routine in App Development. As far as I'm concerned, Community has only otherwise bleeped cursing in the documentary episodes, which makes a bit more sense given that they're aping a particular style. I guess the argument can…
I wouldn't be at all surprised to see an inexplicably-still-existing Thursday night lineup with Community, Parks, AAB, and a new show. I get the feeling they're going to keep using The Voice to prop up new shows before they let them flap their own wings (and immediately die, but it'll be a few more years before NBC…
About a Boy is fairly passable, so I'm more than ok with it getting picked up, so long as a renewal doesn't come at Community's expense. It's definitely better than the last two NBC sitcoms I picked up and later dropped (Up All Night and MJF), so if this one tightens its game it can be a pretty decent show,
