What was the best season finale, and what would've worked as the best series finale?

Episode: B+

Yeah, where the hell was Shirley this season? If I wasn't fairly confident on another season, I'd be really pissed that she basically got nothing to do all year. Not that it doesn't already anger me.

I think ITF would've been a better series finale than this one, but I liked this episode better overall. Weird how that worked out.

This was definitely a great season for tags, if nothing else.

That was basically nothing compared to the extensive amount that 30 Rock repeatedly lampooned NBC. Still fantastic, though.

Yeah, I liked that a lot. I'd probably rank it somewhere in the middle of all the season 5 episodes, but it was a perfectly satisfying ending that wrapped everything up nicely. Even the overtly meta moments (like Abed basically saying that a cancellation would be indicative of a canon meteor strike) worked for me, and

It's weird to think that in about 4 hours we'll slip right back into our seemingly eternal Community-less void. I always just get used to having the show back right when the season's about to end.

Gaaah, did Sepinwall change his site's layout, or did I somehow change one of my display settings without realizing?

The finale is "slightly inferior" to this episode, apparently? I already gave this one a B-, so… yeesh if my opinion lines up with that one.

Yeah, I think it was pretty obvious, and I don't think anyone would disagree. I think it's just the fact that the show's done this sort of fourth wall metaphorical thing a billion times already, so it's not horribly noteworthy at this point.

HO's implications are indeed needless, but I've never had a problem living with them. I just take the episode as an elaborate what-if scenario, and without worrying about what it implies about the root of the show, it's just fun to see the characters interacting in ways we don't usually see them interact.

I gave Puppets a B back in the day, and I'd probably only bump it down to a C+ or a B- on rewatch. I never hated it as much as anyone else - it's visually interesting, the songs are mostly catchy, and I didn't have any egregious problems with the plot. It still remains one of Community's most pointless episodes,

Rewatching most of the season recently, I was actually surprised at how well it held up. My opinion on it lessened a bit from when I first watched it, but I would still hold up most of the season as a more or less passable and often enjoyable imitation of Community. It's also much easier to take in in the present day,

My friends watching through Community just got to AITF. I know a select few of you didn't mind this episode, but this being my first time seeing this episode in almost a year, I think I hate it even more now. It's difficult to make myself look at the screen.

How are people feeling about SHIELD now, considering the past couple of episodes? Personally, I've always liked the show to an extent, though I never felt super compelled to watch it and might let episodes sit for a week or two before catching up. These past few episodes have been stellar, though, and it might have

Why won't the show be covered week-to-week? Is it out of solidarity with the old staff, or was readership dropping off? I'd be surprised if it was the latter, since the comments sections I thought remained consistently full throughout season 3.

The only part of that plotline that I would blame Danny Pudi for would be his middle-of-the hall "NOOOO" breakdown (the one immediately preceding the appearance of Abed-with-a-beard). That "NOOOO" and the breakdown immediately following was so hammily done that I was sure that it was intended to be a parody reaction
