The popular theory seems to be that the Mother is ill and will die before their daughter is married. That theory's been floating around for years, but to me it looks like the most likely scenario after this episode.

hey so that habninal show was pretty good tonight

So are we assuming the "Bondage" part of the title was referring to Abed/Hickey's bonding or Jeff/Duncan's bonding? If so, clever way to make the phrase mean something different than we all thought it would.

A-. Good stuff.

I know that this isn't strictly canon and that these shorts are very loose on the cross-series continuity, but Max asking "what's a Crucifictorious?" when he's referred to watching FNL in the past is messing with my head.

Right, I forgot that BBT wasn't always on Thursday. Football is definitely the better-case scenario to go up against Community, though, since Community's already been competing with Thursday football every fall (just not on CBS).

If Community were to return to Thursday at 8 this fall, would that be the first time since its first few post-Office airings that it wouldn't be competing with a new or rerun BBT? Or am I missing somewhere else where the shows didn't overlap?

Agreed on the first point, seeing as I've had a thousand arguments with my roommate on whether or not "politics can be dirty" is a compelling enough point to base an entire show around.

Rewatching this episode (which I absolutely adored overall), the two jokes that really didn't land for me were the jokes that involved Annie being over-the-top cartoonishly aggressive, those being her demand that the porn blocker unblock EEEEVERRRYYYYTHINNNNNG and her assault on the security guard near the end of the

I agree, Lloyd. The show does have major structural problems, but I found it a somewhat interesting and often compelling way to spend 13 hours. It deserves neither the glowing praise nor the extreme vitriol that it gets on certain respective parts of the internet, and there's a crapload of 2013 shows that I'd prefer

the board should be used for intelligent conversations and not spammed blah blah blah cheapest conceit in all of fiction

LEGO MOVIE SPOILERS

Yeah, it's back tonight.

Don't you still watch Walking Dead? Not that you like it much, but hey, it's something to watch.

71 HAHAHAHA SUCKERS

So, The Lego Movie was legitimately the best movie I've seen in years. I'm too tired to go into detail, but that was damn good.

It's actually pretty sad how MJF went from a pretty interesting looking project featuring an actor I'm glad to see back on TV, to a bland show that took me way too long to realize I wasn't enjoying. It's remarkable how far the show's fallen from its mild preseason interest to absolutely nobody giving a shit anymore.

So, I forget, how exactly does the Olympics affect TV? Is it only shows on NBC that won't be new? Is it only shows on certain days that won't be new? Is everything on every network just going to be in reruns for the next month? I'm not really into the Olympics, and I wasn't really into TV during the last Winter

At least Irons more or less fits the bill for Alfred aesthetically. I don't think anyone in a million years (outside of the WB casting department, apparently) would've pegged Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.
