Does anybody really care if it's a bad idea? Both shows kinda suck right now, and this'll at least get people to watch out of sheer curiosity.

Stating the obvious here, but I love how the initial incident of such an accusation happened about a year ago and we're still making fun of it.

Apparently they're making a Firefly MMORPG? That's… random.

Eh. I'm not much of a chinephile, so I never really have much more to say about a movie than the paragraph or so I'll post on here after seeing one. I'll check the Dissolve reviews sometimes, to get an opinion better than the horrible ones in the Film Club, but really no more than that.

I don't like it either. I never planned on spending any time on there anyway, but still.

I was hoping to get something for Gravity Falls, but I guess it's not too well known yet. Ah well.

By that logic, I nominate Nathan Fillion for that one episode of Firefly I watched last week when I was bored.

I'd be fine with Fey or Dern, actually. I think winning Comedy Series would be enough for 30 Rock (and that's a definite YES PLEASE THEY DESERVE IT in my book), but if they lose that one I'd take either actress to win.

I love Don Cheadle as a movie actor, but he and House of Lies have no place at the Emmys. It pisses me off that Don Cheadle's film career is probably the sole reason voters focus on House of Lies, and not the billion other shows that deserve the attention way more.

DR. CLASH PICKS HIS EMMY PREFERENCES BECAUSE WHY NOT

I never felt the urge to rewatch any Veep, so you got me there. Just a matter of taste, I guess.

Eh. I like Veep to an extent, though I think it's fairly overrated, but JLD is probably my least favorite aspect of the show. I liked how they worked Selina's character in the finale, but the character is just so damn abrasive most of the time. I'd certainly welcome Hale or Chlumsky winning, though.

Vergara did get nominated, actually.

I think it's been long established that there is no justice in this world.

No Hannibal for Cinematography quite literally means that there is no justice in this universe.

I'm pleasantly surprised by the Dern and Bateman nominations. Everything else so far is EXPECTED, EXPECTED, EXPECTED.

The chase scene in the Scooby Doo segment was particularly inspired. Their parody of the "running in and out of a bunch of doors in a hallway" gag in particular had me in stitches.

ok

A big thing that I actually liked about the movie is that it actually stuck to the happy ending of the first movie and didn't backslide into the same character problems with Gru and do a thematic rehash of the original, as many sequels are wont to do.

Despicable Me 2 was a lot of fun. In terms of criticism, not quite as good as the first, a handful of jokes didn't land, and they skipped a bunch of narrative gaps, but it was still a really fun movie to sit through that held up very well against the first one.
