Good summary, cheers. I think for me timers are more annoying when I can't stop and think about how my characters are feeling, or just the overall experience. It's not that I'm indecisive, I just like to immerse.

Thanks for sharing. Another thing I've read is that there are limited characters/scenarios on iOS, which is not the case on PC. Is that also true? Makes the non-IOS version(s) sound better.

Steady on, Dr. Canter. You're a year early.

I've gotten back into it because of the excellent (to me) iOS apps. Don't like the last one as much, but 2013 and 2014 were a lot of fun.

As a member of the latter group, I think you are spot on.

How did I scroll through so many comments and find that no one has pointed out that none of Peter, Lena or Conan are in the Night's Watch?! Standards are slipping in the AVC comments.

I'd be happy staying forever with Skyrim graphics if it meant all door and fast travel loads disappeared.

Sure, but at some point in the (relatively) near future those big dumb headsets will become small (possibly still dumb) contact lenses. And the immersion will be to a level to fool our senses. Would you still not be interested?

I think a lot of people would stop proclaiming office wizards if they just knew about Google Groups. No one at my old job could figure out how on earth I made Excel pull information from the web.

I was all set to give Apple my money for the video game, until I read above that there are timers. Perhaps that gives a sense of realism to the game (after all, day/night are only so long). But it's not really my cup of tea. Is this true? Would you be willing to give a little more insight into this aspect of the game?

Murder for a jar of red rum.

I'm with you, but then, I also try to pass every GTA level I can from a distance with the sniper rifle. To each his own! I look forward to seeing some footage of this game, but probably won't play it.

Or just roll your eyes if they don't and move on. One day these kids will face the same thing with some current new property.

I don't understand why people get so upset about what the kids think or know; it sounds so curmudgeonly. This has been going on forever.

Hm, I don't remember this issue, but it was a loooong time ago, so maybe I just blocked the memory. I also always played Buffalo. I found Andre Reed to be the best player in the game, because he always caught my hail mary passes. Always.

Cenobia was my least favourite. Took ages to get back to him if you failed. And I hate running quickly and jumping from ledge/platform to the next. One thing that ruins some AC games for me, particularly the ones that force you to race.

I'd counter that by saying anything that is faster than I am, or has a penchant for starting combat. In a game where I can play more stealthily or ranged combat, I do. It annoys me to no end when I'm about to have the perfect sniper opportunity, and my protectee rushes in like a fool.

"In the Air Tonight" was great to listen to while taking a long drive to an out of the way mission in VC, that you just knew was going to be really difficult.

Although I never finished the taxi/police/army/ambulance/fire/etc to get 100% in subsequent games, I was really happy to see that at least they corrected it to give you some time to get back in the vehicle, if pulled out. That was the hardest part of the missions; knick someone and they chase you, but you have to stop
