Take a nap, Harvey. You need it.
Take a nap, Harvey. You need it.
But who gives a shit? Ignore him and get on with your life, rather than repeating variations on the same comment about his supposed faux-edginess several times for the review of a film you obviously had no intention of ever watching in the first place. It's not like you're making some novel observation, and you're…
I think that there are those who genuinely don't care for him, but what's funny is how it's always the same low-hanging fruit (his eye-rolling tweets about his atheism, his smugness, etc.) that people feel the need to rail against again and again and again rather than, you know, not clicking on an article or review or…
I think that the XFM show is the best thing Gervais, Merchant, and Pilkington have ever done. It was just three blokes having fun and seemingly doing whatever came to mind while playing at being radio hosts at a "tin pot radio station" and being able to laugh at their own ineptitude.
It was definitely an annus horribilis. A slight quibble: Malcolm was killed in 1965.
I thought it looked like her in the thumbnail, too. Now that I'm looking at the full-sized pic and watching the video, I'm 99% sure it's Laina Morris, aka Overly Attached Girlfriend (as in the once ubiquitous meme). She's done other stuff for Mashable, so it wouldn't be too much of a surprise.
I actually think he's one of the best (live action) comic actors around: Arrested Development, 30 Rock, and a half dozen cameos/minor roles in other shows and movies speak to it. He just also seems to have a knack for picking disappointing projects.
You haven't lived here in six years. Do you think that maybe everything that follows that is just a blind defense of something you want to believe is still 100% good?
It's apparently only going to get worse. The city hired a planner with a seven-figure salary to figure out how to accommodate what some sources project to be a threefold increase in population by 2050.
I was at Pizza Tree trying to get a single slice before going to the office. A couple of T/F honchos were immediately in front of me, and a couple and another single customer were in front of them. The couple and the single dude took a few minutes total, which was amazing because the staff of Pizza Tree all seemed…
A victim-of-its-own-success theme runs through many of the locals' reactions I've heard, and I basically agree. I've taught a two-semester History of Film course at Mizzou, and I used to live at Ragtag, essentially. True/False is right in my wheelhouse, and I still support it in the abstract. As a resident just trying…
I'm actually surprised at how well-behaved everyone is being about it here. On the one hand the comments haven't gotten too creepy, and on the other hand there hasn't been a doctor unknown type that's come along and accused anyone of being a pedophile. If this were a Gawker site the place would be burning down…
Shows what you know. Cows don't look like cows on film. You gotta use horses. And if you want horses, you just tape a bunch of cats together.
I regularly cycle through nemeses. My nemesis at the moment is the entire city of Columbia, Missouri. We're gearing up once again for the True/False film festival, and it turns out that the city plans for visitors about as well as they plan for snow and ice removal (imagine cloning the dim-witted coworkers in charge…
I'm already on board with her, Kaplan, and Ritter, but can we add Aubrey Plaza? She's a sarcastic, too-cool-for-school brunette, and it will be like a celebrity crush four-square for me.
Well, I'm only speaking from personal experience, not any kind of objective metric, but I've encountered quite a bit of mock for hailing Reznor and other 1990s artists (e.g. Hole, Smashing Pumpkins, Liz Phair, Tori Amos, fill in your alternative act here). Go back far enough in my commenting history and there is…
It is indeed. I missed that part of the intro to the inventory. I stand humbled.
I've been saying the same thing. This is the raging id of the GOP's base, and even its establishment is scared of the monster they've created. What's scaring me at this point, however, is that Dem turnout is down 33% in the primaries thus far, and I hear a lot of defeatism (I mean more than usual) in my political…
Hey, Criss gave Liz a pass to Indecent Proposal him cuz it was Leap Day. You have precedent on your side.
