Actually, my favorite moment from NFL Films' recent doc Do Your Job was when Belichick giddily talks about Mona Lisa Vitto, Marissa Tomeii's character from My Cousin Vinny, which he had used as an example of the kind of expert witness people had expected him to be about the psi levels of footballs. You can tell from

My interest in Washington-area sports stems from my guiltless love of Tony Kornheiser’s radio show that I listen to in podcast form—otherwise I would have never had that on my radar. But Uncle Tony's take is pretty much in line with yours.

I remember reading a Uni Watch article (maybe Teti even linked it at the time) about how the NFL is considering letting both teams in a given game wear the full color unis. I'm not sure if it'll include a stipulation about teams with too-similar colors (like, say, the Chiefs and Cardinals) still having to go with the

Can it be led by teens? A Teenage Riot, if you will?

Or Gene Belcher's trash fashion line, Trashion.

Michel is the first name of my avatar, may he rest in peace.

Purple traditionally signifies royalty. Or grape juice… Ah, delicious pre-wine.

The funny thing is when I was a kid other kids made fun of the Pat Patriot three-point stance logo whenever I wore a Pats hat or shirt. Then they made fun of the Flying Elvis logo when I wore stuff with it on it. Now everyone loves the old logo. Go figure.

Oh they've definitely improved, and I still have a soft spot for the 1980s unis and three-point stance Pat Patriot helmets, too. I just don't mind Flying Elvis and I love the now-predominant use of blue and sliver over red and white.

With his helmet on I think he has a passing resemblance to Will Ferrell.

I hope so, too. I did the same thing in a couple of leagues.

I'm starting Palmer in multiple leagues. As long as he's healthy he could be a top 10 QB with those receivers. Against the Chicago D especially he should do fine.

Ryan is 4-9 against the Pats going back to his first season with the Jets. When reporters asked Bill Belichick (god I love that man) about Ryan's comments, he dryly replied, "I think our record against him has been okay. I'll take it."

Stand tall. I'm an unabashed lover of the Pats' "Flying Elvis"-era helmet and colors, and I've been getting shit for it since 1992.

He has a name, dammit! It's Pat Patriot.

And the late game Deflategate banter was cringeworthy, but Michaels continuing to coyly allude to the point spreads (especially this time with the Steelers' backdoor cover with like four seconds left) and Cris Collinsworth continuing to play along as he feigns worry about it will always crack me up, plus they're way

I remember after Jamaal Charles lost that second fumble that was recovered for the go-ahead TD by the Denver D they showed Charles slamming his helmet against his leg, and Jim Nantz quipped, "At least he held onto that."

Chris Thompson over at Deadspin wrote an article about the sea of turquoise in the stands and how the opposing team's fans invading is going to be the new normal for Washington:

I feel for you. I drew the last pick in both leagues and ended up with Dez Bryant as my first pick on one team and C.J. Anderson as my first pick on the other.

Are you Tina Belcher?
