Lucas was always pretty cool with fan-made materials freely borrowing SW stuff. Not sure how Disney (with regards to SW) and the other rights holders respond to such matters.

Any MC Chris? Fan abuse aside, he makes some good SW-themed nerdcore hip hop.

But they've been holding St. Louis, San Diego, and Oakland over a collective barrel to extort taxpayer money for new stadiums, with the owners of the Rams, Chargers, and Raiders all threatening to move to Los Angeles if the cities don't pony up. It's not the first time, either. It happens with the majority of teams

I've read the responses. I don't think Oswalt or Seinfeld are blaming college students alone. I'm certainly not. I'm not trying to blame anybody, actually, so much as assert that we should stop shutting down the conversation.

But see, those generalizations and exaggerations are exactly what I'm talking about. Oswalt and Seinfeld aren't using the term "SJWs" to dismiss whole swaths of critics or pitting themselves in the culture wars.

I remember the negative reaction here to the Newswire item about Seinfeld saying the same thing about no longer playing on college campuses because of political correctness run amok. Since then, however, I've noticed several other pretty noteworthy comedians echo the sentiment, and as a bleeding-heart liberal adjunct

No way. When I take shots at the AVC commentariate, My Aim Is True.

Great song.

I don't know what tantrums you're referring to, so I can't comment. My reaction to his being overhyped here is to cast a sideways glance at the writers for going down that road (exhibits A through Z could be made up entirely of various "Good Job, Internet!" posts). I don't blame Oswalt for the AVC (or whoever) acting

What Flubba said, from what I can tell. Some genuinely think he's just not funny, I'm sure, but the response is usually over the top for it just to be limited to differing tastes. AVC writers post stuff about his "masterful" tweets and the commentariate snarks about how awful they are, then that snowballs into how

His interviews on WTF show he's a pretty insightful guy, too. I really don't get the hate.

His campaign staff that were still hoping to eventually get paid.

Another pun thread? Oh, AV Club, you're Beyond Belief.

We filled up, but if you're interested you can have one of mine. I feel weird having teams in both leagues, but I needed to in order to start them. ESPN lets you have a co-manager, though, and I can add you and you'd run the team.

I don't get the Grohl backlash around here. Sure, his stunts sometimes backfire, like when he pulled a fan out of the crowd and up on stage for crying during "There Goes My Hero"—it turned out the fan was crying about his recently deceased father—but his heart usually seems to be in the right place (he pulled the fan

Good to have you aboard. One spot left!

Have you emailed me? If not shoot me an email and I'll send you the invitation. :)

Hey I forgot about this… is ESPN a deal breaker? We have three spots open in a second league. ESPN has a decent app that let's you forgo having to navigate their site if that's an issue.

Sent ya an invite for the second league. Lemme know if you don't get it.

Actually you can. You have to sign up for DraftKings to qualify, but it's a free play, apparently, and whoever wins supposedly will also win $100,000 each for everyone in their league, even if they didn't sign up for the contests, themselves. Sounds shady as hell to me, but whatevs.
