I know that ripping on Rollins is pretty much de rigueur around here (low-hanging fruit that it is), but he's not half as bad as the Newswire items and comments make him out to be (especially if you set aside his unfortunate decision to share publicly his thoughts on suicide).

Reminds me of part of Cedric the Entertainer's segment from The Original Kings of Comedy.

I've had it —at the Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Shop in Denver. I second this sentiment wholeheartedly.

Agreed. She didn't like The Big Lebowski, either, though. I don't really believe in those kind of deal-breakers when it comes to relationships, but if
I did that would be high on the list.

And, as usual, it was Mike Myers who should have been the one doing the apologizing.

She apparently went to UWM… Go Panthers!

I keep my love of various Adult Swim shows mostly to myself, because I'm convinced most people I happen to know wouldn't think any of them are funny.

My moms have Turner Classic Movies as part of their cable package while I… don't have cable. They used to record stuff for me all the time, especially during TCM's 31 Days of Oscar every year, for me to watch whenever I'd visit next. Then I discovered they'd never really watch any of the films, themselves, while

Expanding to significant others, I tried to watch Anchorman with my then-girlfriend, who was pursuing an MA in journalism at the time (she had gotten her BJ the year before… heh.. heh… heh heh). I liked how closely it paraphrased Trigger and what he says about his broom in Only Fools and Horses, a nice modern update of the Ship of Theseus:

I think what Gatsby might be referring to—it's certainly something that came to mind as I've been reading through the comments heretofore—is the perception many have had about SP since they first appeared on most people's radar that Corgan calls most if not all of the shots.

Behold! The ultimate pog!

I live in Columbia now, but when I was in KC/occasionally still visit KC the Buzz was/is one of the programmed stations on my car's radio, along with KU's campus station and one other that escapes me.

The Buzz?

One thing I've noticed is that people often comment on his firstie posts but then proceed to ignore what he's said and just have their own conversation, which seems just as appropriate.

And he showed 'em off when he played Baby New Year, stark naked.

If memory serves, they wanted to play it in its entirety at the VMAs and MTV said no way, so when they started playing it before switching to "Lithium" it was just to fuck with MTV and the censors.
