You reminded me of the Jesus statue above Rio. And now I remember The Parthenon in Athens.
You are correct sir. Would have included a photo, but couldn't find a good one.
How could I forget. :-)
There are a lot of great interiors in LA, The Biltmore and the Bonaventure as you say, The Fine Arts Building, Bradbury Building, Central Library, Union Station etc. I see these in commercials and movies often.
Not so sure about Chicago. I know the Sears Tower, and John Hancock, but non architects probably wouldn't identify them as in Chicago.
I know the CN tower, I might recognize Parliment Hill.
As an architect I'm embarassed to admit that all I've seen of Chicago is O'Hare. Regardless, I think Jeanne Gang's Aqua is the best building of the past 50 years. And would like to see it become the icon for Chicago (too bad it is surrounded by other tall buildings). It is beautiful, functional, original, and…
There are actually very few iconic pieces of architecture that can serve as an establishing shot without explanatory text.

John Portman is a genius. One of the heroes of Tom Wolfe's From Bauhaus to Our House. The Westin is difficult to navigate but that may be because we are used to rectangular spaces not circular ones.
I have seen the first chipmunks movie. I laughed…….a lot. Todd Margaret? not so much.
I know enough about Norway to be able to spell "Bergen" correctly……and I think I'll wear my Norweign sweater today……kinda chilly.
IMHO, Bill Burr is the funniest man on the planet.
I think you mean "oh jesus".

Marc Maron is no Bill Burr
I guess Bill Burr didn't release an album?
So true….should be at the top of the list.
Disagree. So many great heartfelt tunes.
