Am I nuts or was Arms of Orion originally used in the Batman movie? It's in the art gallery scene just as Joker is meeting Vicki. He turns off the cassette player in the video version of the movie, even though no music playing. In the theatrical version I seem to recall that Arms of Orion was actually playing and

In the future, you and Huff Post should run a "no Madonna news today" headline every slow day and let the Madonna bashers take it from there.

Does a pervert in the park still recommend Charlie attend Penn State?

I can't imagine how one would totally avoid what it means to be gay within one's culture though. Do you have lots of gay people on your facebook? I do, and I'm reading gay political stuff all day long from friend posts and they're preaching to the choir. You would have to really go out of your way not to frame

Wow, so they showed a wommon/wombin from Portland, OR and of course she's a tripped out crystal and feather wearing alien obsessed Sinead O'Connor lookalike. She does represent this town, but we don't want her to!

So this might sound a bit feminist or whatever, but seriously that Tim guy says he did it to "meet girls" and he gets rewarded with chuckles every time. If he said he did it to "meet boys" he would have been met with nothing because it wouldn't have aired and he probably would have self-censored and not said it

They just showed those two crazy gay stereotypes to show that openly/obviously gay people would be perfectly welcome and we'd love and embrace them, but they're too old so we won't actually book these particular two. Of course invisibility might be preferable.

Funny thing: In the book, when the main character (a teenager) is hanging out in the park, a pervy older guy comes up cruising him and then immediately starts singing the praises of the Penn State football program. Was this book onto something in the late 90s?

I wonder how you mean "openly gay," since so many of the dancers are clearly gay and some of the ones who aren't clearly gay nonetheless turn out to be. It's always been weird that while these things are so apparent on the show, it is never mentioned whereas straight people use their families/opposite sex
