I dunno, the Lone Ranger was considered the biggest bomb in the summer, and it made almost double on its opening weekend. I know they had different production costs and all, but its still just a lukewarm showing.

I think you get that more from the book he wrote where Hamlet's dad turns people gay by molesting them as children.

Perhaps this means we're in for a Man with Two Heads, One of Which is a Minotaur, when someone puts it on Frankenfrat's body.

Holy Shit Scawler, I thought you were just being funny! How did I miss hearing about such a thing.

Well, it certainly does bring in a lot of questions about the overall cosmology of the universe, God, and heaven and what not, since the universe is on such a mind numbly huge scale we really try not to think about it. You'd assume that even a mundane job in heaven would fry a human brain like an egg, unless there

Hehe, yeah, they are all kind of like bosses in Final Fantasy, aren't they?

Ha. All those poor angels sitting in angel school looking at "Don't" written on the chalkboard all day.

I don't mind them not being better morally, I just would think they'd be better intelligently.

If he were really dedicated to fighting crime, he'd go to Detroit.

Mm, so Angels basically work the same way as Greek Gods?

Nick Offerman should reboot Home Improvement with Ron Swanson.

I love how a being that literally knows the creator of the universe, and presumably knows intimately the mysteries of human history, science beyond our current understanding, and lots of other fun questions decides to help people best by being a cop.
Angel Scientist must just be too hard to write.

While that might be true, I think you underestimate the value of a popular book with enthusiastic fans to make people excited about a new movie. People who are excited about the books bring friends with them to the theaters, and generate good buzz just on their own enthusiasm.

Oh man, I didn't even realize Empire was a new book (I must have been thinking of Treason) till I read the wikipedia write up on it. So terrible. And most of his post-2000 books have been pretty off too. Treasure Box and Enchanted were both pretty weird.

I would be really surprised if it succeeded. OSC has done his damnedest to piss off all of his biggest fans (namely the ones that pay attention to him), and those trailers are just killing me with the terrible Harrison Ford monotone.

OSC has been pissing all over the good will people have for the Ender's Game book by making shitty sequels and even shittier political statements.

Little known fact. Genghis Khan was not conquering from Mongolia, he was trying to find some other place to live that wasn't overrun by Mongolian Deathworms.

Interestingly, there was just news that someone DNA tested 'yeti' hairs and found them to be from a bear. Perhaps its the Giga-bear from The Terror, grown tired of the Arctic.

I'm hoping for a trip to the Belgian Congo to find Mokele-mbembe. You could even use Dr. Livingston.

The Terror would have really benefited from a picture of a ship with all the various bits of it labeled. Picking it up, I had no idea what a forecastle was, much less a forec'sl or whatever contraction that they used for it.
