I'd agree that it's a flawed film but in what universe would Kubrick have been nominated for worst director for it? That's just as insane as Nicholson in that film!

Thief's score won a Razzie? That's idiotic. I also remembered Ennio Morricone's score for The Thing, was nominated. Yikes.

That is the most random assortment of movies! I like how it goes from the totally inane, like Invasion USA to…To Live And Die In LA? What?????

The worst part is that Cronenberg actually offered to make a remake of sorts a few years ago…and was turned down by Fox. Makes perfect sense.

It's basically an ultra violent remake of Return of the Fly(1959,) which is also a very enjoyable monster movie.

I really hope I'm not the only one who remembers the decade worth of absolutely godawful ripoffs that were inspired by this movie. The original was a pretty decent science fiction/action, though probably a tad overrated. I never thought it was as complex as many have claimed and it's pseudo-philosophy was particularly

This new comment system is horrendous.

It's worse than The Matrix Revolution.

Considering the long term damage that the original had on the genre, I'd say this is the last thing we need.

He made some good movies…also, since when was Planet of the Apes considered camp? That film always had a dark satirical edge. Not everything has aged perfectly but it's still one of the ten greatest science fiction films ever made.

This was a pretty good episode. Lennie James makes the most of the Morgan character and helps make him compelling. The writing is contrived in every sense of the word but there WERE surprises tonight. I knew Richard didn't have long for this world but not so sudden and brutal demise as the one Morgan gave him.

Nope!

Did they mention David Shepherd's passing on here? They should have if they didn't. For all of you who have enjoyed silent cinema, that's a man many of us should be indebted to. That list of films he restored and the titles included, was mind blowing.

This one really choked me up when I read it. I love Turner Classic Movies and Robert Osborne was so very much integral to that channel's success.

Dave Mustaine use to be more liberal in the 80s. Most of thrash leaned that direction because of how the music was attacked. If we're going to talk about musicians doing something for the money and equating that with conservatism, then wouldn't that include every popular genre from the last few decades?

That had to be a very interesting night.

The band represents evil and Nazis are practically the poster boys for the word. Besides, Angel of Death never glorified what Mengele did.

All these decades later and metal is still the scapegoat.

This is generalizing and stereotyping. Why does this site constantly bash metal? Yes, there are bands that probably do support some sick ideologies but does that represent anywhere near the majority? This is a typical double standard.

That's exactly what I wrote. This site needs people who gets this genre.
