Dehumanizer is underrated as well. I also know more than a few who have taken a liking to Born Again with Ian Gillan.

I'd say that man did not have the soul of rock. That Van Halen debut IS rock and roll.

You also have to love that apparently Cream was a bad band!

This makes me sad. This is a farewell to the greatest heavy metal band of all time.

Not to be confused with John Ford's The Horse Soldiers(1959,) I guess?

Altars Of Madness rules.

The 80s was a golden age for metal…except for the hair metal and that's Trunk's main thing.

They are a crossover band.

This is a bizarre controversy. The US has always had such stories about immigrants finding their way in this country. It's part of the folklore of America.

Eva Green is the sole purpose of this film's existence. She plays the part extremely well and I'm sure I don't even have to comment on her "physicality."

This was an interesting finale but heavily contrived. I enjoyed that Eckbert's own end mirrors that of Ragnar. He goes out with a scheme and gets to see his friend's sons. I'm surprised he never just said, "Your dad told you what he told you so you could finish his dream," but oh well.

There are many perfectly imperfect films.

A brilliant song this is.

I think you give Alice too much credit by calling her a "character."

I really admire Mel Brooks. He is the epitome of a true legend. A comic genius and WW2 hero. Wow. Plus, he's a real classic film fan.
He just loves the cinema and so do I. What a guy!

He's totally right, too. Random Harvest IS a wonderful movie.

Martin Shkreli is a whole other level than that Milo guy. Milo is just an asshole twitter troll. Shkreli is a near evil prick on any level. He's the kind of thing Charles Dickens wrote about if you get my drift.

A fine film about WW2 from the German perspective was THE BRIDGE(1959.) This details the lives of a group of school boys at the close of the war who are drafted as a last ditch measure to halt the Allied advance. It was the first war film made in Germany post-war and stands as one of the finest made.

It was much deserving of the South Park treatment.

Nazis just make great bad guys. They are just universally hated.
That's why in Crystal Skull, it made sense to make them Stalinist Commies, however, adding aliens was one of many mistakes that film suffered.
