It's because everything is extreme today. The rational people know that all your examples are not even remotely approaching what would ever be considered "racist." It's like we are living in a political satire.

I don't give two fucks about it, either.
Not to mention that Borgnine was basically the polar opposite. A truly nice guy who earned a long and wonderful career. Plus, The Wild Bunch is 100 times tougher than anything Seagal could ever make.
His career has always baffled me. Seagal is practically unable to portray a likable character and cannot act to save his life. His best movie, Under Siege, was really more of a fluke as it contained a good director, a strong supporting cast and solid production values. His apathy toward his craft is the ultimate in…
It's so bizarre that this is a political issue. I mean, why? It's strange how totally extreme politics have become. That "us and them" mentality is just sad. It's everyone's world, people.
The dialogue was not this episode's strong suit but just about everything else was. The actors have developed and refined some fascinating characters and the preview indicates what will undoubtedly be, a very satisfying season.
I can't see this working on a big scale. These monsters were a creation of a different period and presenting them in modern times just sounds silly. Plus, there's no real incentive. It's not the Dracula, Frankenstein Monster, Wolf Man etc. that we love but rather replacements of said characters. In the Marvel…
What would Negan do if Carl sang out of tune? Would he stand up and crack his skull open?
Obviously, a woman after my own heart.
When I said weak, I actually should have implied, "nonexistent."
That was kind of funny.
This was a way more entertaining episode than the previous but one still mired in confusion. Negan is sometimes a fascinating and at once entertaining presence but the shtick can get a bit tiresome. There was one striking human moment when Negan revealed a tinge of sympathy hinting at a past life but it's fleeting.…
Howard Shore's score for THE FLY is a masterpiece.
He was a very fun character actor. Return of the Living Dead is a seminal film from the 80s horror scene and one of the very best cult films ever made. His role is a big part of that film's success, bringing sufficient humor and a dramatic edge that kept the film anchored, along with the rest of the talented cast.
I don't know anyone that is even remotely interested in this. Who exactly is this made for? Certainly not horror fans!
I was about to say the same thing. It speaks a lot for the writers(and the actors) that they manage to make some truly psychotic and sociopathic characters not just likable but even, someone to relate to. I was surprised by how moved I was by the Ivar character. That was handled far better than expected and his…
That sounds like I stumbled across an Oregon Trail joke!
This has been a very weak season. There's just no cohesion. Where's the tension? The suspense? The drama? It's a wasteland out there.
The Japanese also loved the idea of a "master race." Crazy times.
This show really lives and dies on it's actors. I suppose we could say that of most shows but it's so apparent on this one because the characterization generally sucks. That Gregory character was way more interesting than he had any right to be and had a comic timing that this show cries for. While the Saviors are…
