Yeah, I'm actually amazed at how often we see them. The CGI on them has been consistently good especially for a TV show.

God, I loved Sam's "Well, I guess someone had to be the first one to do it" line.
Well, since everyone else will probably be dead by Book 7, GRRM has to have something happen in it.
"Maybe it's because I'm an artsy Brooklyn guy"
Actually, Ned seemed to generally understand the cost of his "honor." Whenever he resigned as the Hand and everything started going to shit with his Wife/Tyrion, he was sending guards to protect his family. The dude definitely didn't expect to leave without a fight. Ned, ultimately, just ended up trusting the wrong…
Yeah, my problems with it was less for any messy subtext and mostly just "Whoa, this is unusually cheesy for this show. Like really fucking cheesy."
Everything doesn't have to have intentional undertones, but they're going to exist whether you want them to or not because we live in a big complicated world where people have their own experiences and perspectives that are crucial to the way in which they observe and engage with art.
Which would be interesting if she faced any real hurdles or hardship. She hasn't really since Season 1. Maaaaybe parts of season 2.
@avclub-e53fc2424af041d07a7eef5cd8773505:disqus Now you have me mad that Dany and Co weren't standing under a giant "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED" banner.
@DrunkenSuperman:disqus Godddamn that may be one of my favorite comments ever.
@avclub-89085904f0bffdb18e6df50da71ac0f5:disqus Let us not forget that scene. One of GoT's All Time Top Ten Kills for sure.
I feel weird with Shae because I totally understand why she's always so pissed and angry, but either the writers or the actress aren't very good at communicating this. As a result, she always seems to come off way more "women, amirite?!" than I think the show is intending.
Was rewatching parts of season 1 as I cleaned the other day, and I had forgotten all about the great, long scene between Varys and Littlefinger just verbally sparring in the throne room. I want more scenes like that, dammit.
Ygritte sends Jon a love letter straight from her fucking heart, motherfucker.
Yeah, I was with you up until right after the Astapor stuff. That was awesome, but then it's just gone into straight one-note territory for me. Probably just part of the adaptation issues of using half a book, but I think it's present nonetheless.
@avclub-29501df08e5d9ae59e432e4f188d3735:disqus I somehow remembered who he was. Not totally sure, but was sort of proud about it. But still, yeah.
It's a really good thing for the white walkers all these fuckers are so petty because they are giving Westeros a fucking loooooooooooooooong time to prep.
It'll be just like this, only with Theon, a dick and a direwolf: http://www.youtube.com/watc…
Aka Jorah Mormont is frowned upon.
Yeah but within her storyline that's not really suspense so much as zzzzz.
