@avclub-0c333eba405e0d3fbf0142859f653b99:disqus Eh, he only sort of wants to. Jaime is, above all else, practical and one to not get caught up in "honor." Remember why people call him "Kingslayer" after all. It also feels like it'd be just like GRRM to make it seem like he was building a character up for the

@avclub-d542a3419c3ad57206a96bcc86155ebc:disqus I wonder what Bolton's plan here is too. I can't imagine the Karstarks, who had such a hard-on for killing Lannisters that they murdered children, would willingly side with Bolton after massacring so much of the North at a wedding in the name of the Lannisters. Bolton

LOL @ thinking Gendry still has a chance. I will be very surprised if he makes it out.

@avclub-23dc117ef9479407fb6c6a666005af40:disqus The final battle is between the Hound and Arya despite him training her after this event. They both understand that this must be done because of the way the world is. The Hound dies in the rain in Arya's arms.

Well, they both forbade them for different reasons, but probably something of a sign that they share a particular strain of non-douchiness.

@avclub-17c3613df50203d147fc87ccd0f1436d:disqus Uh, I know how you feel. Laughed out loud at Frey's facial expression to Rob when he saw the bride, thought the wedding looked like a surprisingly good time, and caught myself thinking "Man, it's nice to see something good finally happen to these people. Wonder who the

My internet usage is rampant and irresponsible, and I had never heard of the Red Wedding.

@irrenmann:disqus That's actually a pretty solid strategy.

@RedScarab:disqus That was definitely up there. I'm not sure if I find it as scarring as the scene the murderer is revealed in Twin Peaks (partially because it's so much more personal), but fuck me if it's not number 2. Still felt like I needed a stiff drink and a marathon of 30 Rock or something immediately afterword.

Beema, I believe you should be clearing your cache when you reset, otherwise your browser won't always update right away.

@Drunken Superman, my buddy told me he saw people on reddit who were making usernames on Reddit that were GoT spoilers like "Rob_Dies_at_the_Frey_Wedding." That's fucked up.

This seemed less about the folly of honor and more that sometimes breaking your honor does come back to bite you.

Hasn't that been like less than half the episodes though? Not exactly weekly.

Symbolism, dog.

This episode made me mad w/r/t the Jon storyline because it felt like he's done so little over the whole season and then just undid all of it.

The Friend Zone isn't real. If Jorah really wanted some, he could be a fucking man and make a fucking move.

Didn't he make it out? I wasn't totally sure.

Jorah didn't look freaked out. He was upset that her first response wasn't about him or the mission but this new dude who just hopped on the bandwagon.

Yeah, I only read the nonspoilery bits of the Experts review but was stunned when Todd mentioned that (and how GRRM uses it to lure you into a sense of security makes a lot of sense). I kept waiting for one of the other plot lines to be the "event" aspect of the episode.
