Yeah, I think it'll suck. The first trailer had me interested during the monologue about trains and how the person in charge of them controls time or whatever. Seemed like an interesting way to frame it, but then the rest of the trailer happened and I realized that won't be the movie at all.

"Hm…. we can't seem to find the right ending. You, fucking baby face, get me that asshole that slaps a bullshit religion ending onto everything and have that fucker finish this thing so I can get Brad Pitt and his shitty fucking hobo beard to shut the fuck up." - a World War Z producer, probably

I feel like Luhrman will nail the actual text of the story, but present it as some great, tragic love story rather than actually exploring the subtext and irony.

In an effort to be such a troll, you have trolled a gimmick account created to troll another user.

I liked the idea better in Dishonored when they describe that at the end of every yearly calender there's a festival that exists "outside of time" and any sort of hedonistic act goes during it. I thought that was a kind of cool conceit.
This, though, not so much.

@avclub-6997a8bd0e1042b70b60c5c879a1780e:disqus I think your question is the point of the whole mask thing. Or at least, that's what the mask thing wants to address.

So is this Iron Man like the last Batman then in that there's actually somewhat little of the titular super hero up and running?

@paraclete_pizza:disqus Are we still making that joke?

@Santoshjs:disqus I expect everyone who got pissed at the Occupy Gotham message of The Dark Knight Rises (which I still don't think was the case) to get appropriately pissed then.

Remember how everyone left over the Watch This/Read This stuff and the lack of focus on film content?

I'm finding myself really excited for Man of Steel, and I'm not sure how it happened.

I think he's definitely the Gary Mitchell dude. The most recent teaser or whatever on this site had a still of Cumberbatch in it with his eyes all white/weird in the way that Gary did when he transformed.

I thought I had read there was actually little to no lens flare in it.

Also the first Daft Punk album since 05.

(This is my 9662nd comment…

I was wondering about the Red God bit as well. Last week it was mentioned that the word of God from GRRM is just that no religion in the world is necessarily the right or wrong one, but it seems like the Red God/Lord of Light is the only one that actually gets shit done.

@avclub-d0cf409eb912cc0cc950b41b6d892d07:disqus Not spoilers. It's been mentioned in official show stuff outside the actual show (forget if it was the HBO site or the DVDs, but it's on one).

No, it's

Yeah, I agree with some of the others: it's less he's inventing it and more so that wildlings probably don't do it that often.

I actually think GRRM is great at writing dialogue. It's the other prose in the books that bug me.
