When was this? Because the visuals on Criterion's Thin Red LIne Blu Ray might be the best I've ever seen.

Agreed. When I watched it, I went in half expecting a stoic bore of a time. Instead I found a film that was pretty damn funny and full of life.

I've had it from Netflix for about two weeks now, and I still haven't found myself in the right mood or place to sit down and watch it. The still I've seen look beautiful though.

I didn't much like The Thin Red Line the very first time I saw it, but it's been creeping up on me as maybe my favorite movie. I know that kind of talk can incite a riot in these parts, but goddamn is it good.

That and Badlands are the two Malick films I haven't seen.
