I believe you are correct. It does seem as if there are at least some who have left the cult and begun to speak of the horrors they attempt to hide. This one called "No Longer Quivering" is a good resource in uncovering the truth.

So can we start criticizing TLC simply for airing Quiverfull propaganda now? Any form of Duggar glorification is perpetuating practices we should all find sick and twisted at this point. Hopefully, the general public gets how disturbing such practices as "blanket training" truly are and won't watch these horrible…
Yes to this in a zillion ways.
There have been rumblings of another season if this one does well. That could be a blessing or an Under the Dome style curse.
You know, it is kinda sad it took the revelation of horrendous crimes to spur public outrage over these people and their show. Why the rampant sexism, hypocrisy, and abusive "Quiverfull" child rearing techniques weren't enough to garner outrage is beyond my comprehension.
That is crazy talk i tell ya.
Yes. I was just going for Liefeld cliches.
Less pouches and no mullet would be a good start.
Wow. Was it really. I was kinda far away and it sounded really off. No hiccups what so ever that I could hear.
Yes and no.
I worked the gate for that event. First year there. Did you hear that awful cover of Missing Persons' "Destination Unknown" before the Salt N Pepa show? Ugh.
I'm not a bear, but I do have a taste for them. I've always found the community to be very accepting and cool with me.
Just wanted to echo the nice job sentiment from above.
From your story, I can see you were in what is a pretty common situation in regard to general misconceptions about drag performers, transgender people, and cross-dressers. That is, the general populace has little understanding of the three groups being completely different from one another. The situation you found…
This show is really good at making despicable characters sympathetic. The writers are delivering some great character development amid all the insanity. Never did I think I'd be feeling pangs of compassion for Increase Mather, but last night it happened.
That is a good point, but I'm willing to suspend disbelief at this juncture. Hopefully, they deal with this question at sometime in the future.
The back half of season one picks up once Increase Mather shows up and the main plot line kicks in. It is worth your while to make through the whole thing, so you can enjoy the crazy delights of season two.
I enjoy it well enough. Not the best, but it is entertaining, as are the actresses you mention. Plus hot dudes never hurt (unless they are doing it right) as you say.
Glad to hear you are giving it go. Season one is takes awhile to really get going, but you know things are picking up once Increase Mather appears. Season two on the other hand is pure gold, so far.
Yes. You should be watching Salem. It is such a sexy, gruesome, and soapy delight. Plus, Lucy Lawless is chewing scenery in a way that it has never been chomped on before.
