And the Small Wonder joke in particular.

Lose one show.
Lose all your shows.
Lose yourself.

I just read Sunny Side Up, and really liked it. My son was meh, I'm not even sure he finished it before we had to take it back to the library. I also just got Roller Girl about a 12 year old who joins a junior roller derby team. I liked it a lot, but my son hasn't started reading it yet. I think he'll like it more

That's true. She actually initially wrote Drama for a high school audience, but after the continued success of Smile, Scholastic asked her to tone down Drama so it could be released to the same younger audience as Smile.

My nine year old son, who is very boy-ish (ask me about his breadth of knowledge of civil war weaponry) loved Smile and Sisters. He also devoured Lumberjanes. Generally speaking, he does prefer books with boy protagonists, but he's willing to try other things and in the case of Raina Telgemeier and the Lumberjanes

I met her two years in a row at the Small Press Expo, though I "knew" her online from some Babysitters Club groups we were both in while she was doing the graphic novels. She is an absolute delight.

I've seen Louie. I haven't seen any Woody Allen.

That is actually the most apt description of Cable News Personalities I've ever read. If you don't mind, it's a phrase I'm going to borrow in the future.

I honestly couldn't get a read on that comment. He wasn't being serious, right?

I remember watching TPIR with my mom when I was growing up. So when I became a stay at home parent, I assumed I'd watch it with my kids. But I haven't seen an episode since I was in college back in the late 90s.

NOOOOO!

That blows.

I think they did. At least when the story initially broke whatever network had it in syndication (I think UpTV?) pulled it. It might be back on though.

Nobody asked for this.

I feel like this whole show was sold wrong. CW is trying to sell it as a group of superheroes, who are legends, traveling through time and kicking ass.In reality the "Legends" in the title should be ironic. Because they're terrible at being superheroes and time travelers and they bungle their way to victory most of

I wouldn't say it's implied, but you're not wrong if that's the way you read it. I read it not as there is something wrong with these guys for never working for a female director, but that it's shitty they've never gotten a chance to do so.

The headline says "20 of the top 100 leading men have never worked with a woman director."

It was your fan fiction, right? You can admit it.

She's the same as her brother! And she openly admits to being a "submissive wife."

My son watches it occasionally so I've seen a handful of episodes. It's not as good as Boy Meets World, but I find it less annoying than a lot of other Disney live-action shows aimed at tweens. The cast has a least some talent and I manage a few laughs an episode.
