I guess? Does she do this everywhere she interviews? For what purpose? I just don't get it. I think the plot would have been stronger/made sense if they just left it with Diane realizing her own culpability, unless we're going somewhere heretofore unrevealed with it.

He would probably make the same choices he did with the Emcee in Cabaret. Whether that's good or bad is up to personal taste.

Was she really looking for a job? That confused me. If she was, why was she video-taping every interview? I thought she was just digging up dirt on employment discrimination at the firm.

I thought this episode was awfully weak. Super-dull case-of-the-week, super-dull campaign storyline, a Lockhart/Agos/Lee plot that made a point but was otherwise inconsequential (why are we supposed to care about the culture at the firm?), and PLEASE GOD NO MORE NSA GUYS. They worked last time because they went from

My initial response: If Eli's the parrot, that makes Alicia Jafar?

Grace's maturation from rebellious convert to thoughtful, nuanced, believer is actually one of my favorite character arcs too. It's led to some brilliant moments with her mother. I don't think her working for her mother is any reason to think that will go away; the storylines in the first three episodes just haven't

If next week's cold open isn't a Gregory Brothers pastiche of at least equal quality, I quit.

Always happy to see Stockard Channing back, but if anything like that fight between Alicia and Veronica happens IRL to a real celebrity, it would be national TV and internet fodder for days or weeks. It would be trending on Facebook and Twitter. It would not be a minor mishap that Alicia wouldn't even have to think

I agree. This is probably the final season, right? I'd hate to think it ends with Alicia all alone in her empty apartment, Grace having gone into an evangelical convent or something, pouring out two glasses of red wine, both of them for herself. Except that's exactly where this is all going.

It is really weird to me how so many characters, regular and recurring, have left the show, leaving plenty of room for the remaining core cast, yet we end up telling stories about this goofball instead of Diane, Cary, or Peter.

I like how Diane uses Alicia's name as a way of positioning herself as a mentor to stars. I was wondering if she would bring up her similar experience with Anna Camp's Caitlin after that meeting with another blonde who's putting her boyfriend over her career. But maybe that would have been the kind of minor continuity

Maybe they're all in the "New York offices" where Taye Diggs apparently spent five seasons?

Wikipedia tells me it's in effect if the person is merely seeking to be a client and asks for legal advice, regardless of whether the attorney takes the job. Either way, Alicia's face said to me that she was dismayed and surprised by Diane's anger, not defensive.

I did like this episode, but man, I would love a status quo where anybody liked anybody else. We're at the point where the relationship I care the most about on this show is… Alicia and Grace? That can't be right.

The one thing I truly didn't buy was Alicia telling Eli who the real target of the sting operation is. He needed to know for the twist ending, but there's no way Alicia would have told him. Notice how Alicia reflexively refused to break attorney-client privilege for Diane when discussing her meeting with Howard? I'm

I think Rudnitsky's straight.

But Eli would know better than anyone who had what job in the Florrick administration.

I think you might be right, which is incredibly sloppy for this show.

Can anyone clear up what Eli meant about Peter sleeping with his ethics person? Does he mean Marilyn Garbanza? Because I remember that storyline, and I'm pretty sure it ended with the revelation that Marilyn WASN'T sleeping with Peter, but with some random other dude named Peter instead.

I hope the Alicia-Luca relationship actually develops into a good friendship. Remember the last time they brought in a candidate for Alicia's BFF in Maura Tierney? Not only did that go south quickly, but Tierney's character disappeared from the show even before her storyline wrapped.
