This episode gave me pause. Everything about it seemed so off, like it was a completely different show than even three or four episodes ago. I guess that might be the normal development of a new show, but if this is a sign of Reign going forward, I may bow out. Which is weird, since a few weeks ago it was my favorite…
That's not the beginning. Marie hired Cordelia's husband to kill all the Salem witches long before the hair salon showdown. As I understand it, there was a truce brokered between the witches and the voodoos by Marie and Christine Ebersole, and Marie broke it several years ago, for reasons totally unexplained at this…

Probably my least favorite episode. The jokes just didn't land for me. C+
I'll never get Sims' deep and abiding hatred of Marilyn. She's just quirky in the way that many Good Wife characters are. Her musical baby belly is no more annoying than Elsbeth's walking on a treadmill during business meetings. And I think she serves a great purpose in the structure of the show—raising ethical red…
I'm super-late in responding to this, but I get what you're saying, and while I think both of them have had hard times, yeah, I still think Sarah has had it harder. I think this comes from my understanding of the different support systems they had in place during their rough years.
True, that's partly what I mean about different backstories. Sarah has a much more stressful job/family situation and history, and so she's not as ready to quip or make light of things. But you're definitely right that there's a tonal shift going on.
I don't think there are that many performance choices in general being made by Lauren Graham to differentiate Lorelai and Sarah. Most of the major distinctions come from the the differing backstories and family relationships. So ever since last season paired her up with a Luke-ish grump, she seems to be drawing closer…
Given that Kristina is now Amber's unofficial surrogate mom, they can't really be mad that someone else has become Adam's replacement in Max's life.
Ahem. He's the school *nurse.* He wanted to be a doctor but his family kept making fun of him.
You're not wrong. Will definitely says that. I trust the title more than Will, precisely because of the office space situation.
Respectfully disagree. The show's ability to balance episodic and serialized storytelling has always been its main structural strength, I think.
Nope. A lot of the regulars and prominent recurrings were missing. No one from the governor's office was in the episode. This is a huuuuge cast.
You are not the only one. Alicia and Peter are a great power couple, and FWIW, I think they're both genuine about this renewal thing (despite the lingering trust issues that will always be there, because baggage). I think both scenes with Owen and Will illustrated just how little he understands his sister and what's…
I thought that was Spencer's joke.
Owen's not a super-ethical person. Remember when he commited perjury because he couldn't testify against his mom? If anything, Alicia has way more scruples than he.
I started watching The Good Wife with season 3, and Kalinda has never been a major story player during my tenure, except the Plot That Must Not Be Named.
I admit, it's a stretch that two different people are spying via cam on two people in the same household, but consider this. The dude spying on Grace has been doing this for a loooong time, long enough to have multiple videos and have sold them to that porn site.
We know who was spying on Grace. We don't know who was spying on Alicia. At least I think that's where we're left.
