The Camille-Julia scene last week is especially good as a continuation of that Camille-Joel scene after Julia lost the baby. Didn't she say something like Julia is the child she has had the hardest time talking to? I totally bought that (they're two of the least similar members of the whole clan, IMO), which is why I

What I learned from the debate: Kristina-as-candidate is boring and awkward and you just want to look away, but when she starts being a mom suddenly she makes a deeply empathetic personal connection and you remember why she's such a great character. Intentional meta-commentary on this whole misbegotten storyline?

That was my read too! It was a thematic couplet with the last Joel-Julia scene. In both cases, one character (Sarah, Joel) is the bigger person and does a gesture of reconciliation, while the other character (Amber, Julia) is inwardly cringing because she knows she messed up.

I assume laughter is the typical response intended by this show. That's the only way it makes sense.

1. Yes. He pushed her to use a fertility spell a while back.

I don't know if we'll get any more of those. Alicia's mom pretty blatantly threw her hat in the ring on Alicia's side (as she should have), and Lee doesn't strike me as a forgive-and-forget kind of guy.

Ah, actors and their academic ambitions! Wonders never cease.

She clearly knows about it, because she saw her mom at Christmas! But I would have loved that scene, because was such a jerky thing for Adam and Kristina to do and yet completely in-character for them.

I don't know, but I honestly think it was a case of it making good story sense for her character to go to an Ivy League university (unlike Amber, who wasn't quite cut out for college, or Drew, who goes to a good local school), and maybe to create room in the cast for new regulars (Victor, maybe Ryan in the future) to

Remember how much fun Adam-High-on-Edibles and Kristina-Smoking-Weed are? Bravermans + drugs = quality family entertainment.

She's not "in the cast," in the sense that she's not a regular anymore. I have to assume they made plans for her to guest once or twice, if only to see how Haddie reacts to the whole "My mom who almost died of cancer is now running for mayor?!?" situation, but plans fell through. No clue why—IMDB doesn't list any

NO. Lee stays. Let us not sacrifice one good for another.

I don't know. Those character reasons are pretty thin (if she's having sex with Kalinda all over the office, she can't be *that* worried about staying closeted, if she is indeed closeted), and they still have to be guessed at. I really think it was just the tidiest ending to the case the writers could come up with,

I think you're exactly right, which is why I really think the case-of-the-week falls apart the moment you even begin to consider it.

Oh. I thought the original commenter was referring to David Lee, who didn't seem to know how awesome she is (despite her role in saving the firm multiple times).

Elsbeth is like Batman in post-Zero Hour continuity. She saves the day every damn time, but most people think she's still an urban legend because no one could be that cool.

B- for the case (for all the reasons Sims gives, except I didn't think the final reversal was cute), A+++++++++++++ for DIANE MEGA-AWESOMENESS.

This Kristina campaign storyline is awful, right? Every Thursday I get excited about a new episode of a great family drama, and then we get plots about campaign donors and whether Adam *really believes* in his wife, and I don't know, guys. I just can't and I want it to stop.

He's not bad as a foil for Jackie, but otherwise, yeah, he's basically as annoying as an actual 8-year-old.

I liked this too! C- is a way hard grade for this. It was light and fun, and established at least four solid characters in the main witches.  It's a shame that this is on at 10, since my CBS affiliate almost always airs The Good Wife later than its 9:00 timeslot; but I'm definitely putting this in my Hulu queue.
