It has always sounded to me like Costello pronounces it as "al-fra-bet" in that line for some reason.

Amen!

Yeah, the weird thing about Get Happy!! is that is spawned exactly zero singles that are still played anywhere at all on radio today, and as such is kind of a lesser light in his early catalogue, and yet it might very well be his best album. It's certainly my favorite. Who but Costello could gun out almost twenty…

I can't be trusted with regards to Francie. Foxy, bitchy redheads are my kryptonite.

No, season four is good! I put Gilmore Girls in the same category as Star Trek in this regard: provided you're on the show's wavelength to begin with, then even a bum episode will still provide you with a base level of nourishment*. Which is not to make any excuses for season four; it's fine on its own.

Huh, I really liked Digger. But then I'm kind of in the tank for Chris Eigeman.

[furrows brow at comment that is perhaps true but is all the more painful for it]

Thanks for responding. Sorry for referring to you in the third person under your own review!

As I keep saying when this come up, J. August Richards doesn't necessarily have to be playing a character who's African-American in the comics. They made Nick Fury black and it was awesome, which hopefully means that the door has been opened to more color-blind casting in the future.

I believe it was for the likes of Ms. Atwell that the phrase "hubba hubba" was coined.

Close: Dominic Cooper will be involved as Howard the Duck.

On a related note:

You know how the old staff revealed their personal histories and tastes to us gradually through their feature pieces (like "For Your Consideration" and "Crosstalk"), so that when you read their reviews you could place them in a context of the author's larger worldview?

Me an' my brother, we seen the whole thing!

If it's free will you go?

Right. It's not bad at all, it's always bordering on being interesting, but I just wish it was a little bit sharper.

Well, it's at least DeWitt-esque, wouldn't you say?

Have you heard GWAR's Burt Bacharach collaboration?
