Handlen, his Trek commitment neverending.

If you 86 the theme song and make Season 4 the first season, Enterprise becomes a damned good show all of a sudden.

Just grab season five. Watch it all the way through. By then you'll be addicted, and you can go back and start at the beginning.

Some shows peak early, but The Simpsons had to grow into itself. Judging it by the first or second season is like saying Mozart was overrated based on his output at age 13.

Use your old Save file to start again with all of your XP? This is brilliant.

Holy crap: talk about lost to history. There was a definite period where Mike the Dog was a quasi-celebrity, wasn't there? Did he have a TV show? Possibly on Showtime or something?

Of the three films, only one was piped into my living room via HBO.

This movie actually stirred up some odd feelings in me as a kid. Nolte sleeps with Dreyfus's entire household, but in the end, Dreyfus is more or less OK with it. Hell, he even seems to feel like he had it coming.

I'm glad you asked: Elizabeth Pena is scorchingly hot in this. That part where she's all sweaty? Mmm-hmm.

There are plenty of really good episodes in TNG S6, but if I'm going to be brutally honest, I have to make myself admit that that's when the scripts started getting repetitive and the cast started looking bored.

For a tiny snippit of a fake song, "Getaway" has had remarkable staying power in my brain.

Darmok and Jalad at Tanagra.

This is one of those utterly blasphemous, heretical, terrible, unutterable  things that's also true: TNG is way more entertaining than TOS. I love TOS, but could only tolerate it after I got into TNG and the Trek addiction was already firmly in place.

This is an interesting idea: I love Trek and particularly TNG unrepentatantly, but as much as it pains me to say it, an absolute fresh-off-the-boat virgin newbie should probably just watch seasons 3, 4 and 5. That's an absolutely effing perfect (well… close enough) run right there. Seasons 1/2 and 6/7 are problematic

Alternate question: "What would you do with the extra time if you could have back all the time you've spent 'batin'?"

Right? 26, but with the world-weariness of a 37-year-old.

I'm making it my personal mission to seek out every movie or show any of those actresses appear in from now on. Forever.

You know, now that I'm thinking about the dear departed O.C., it occurs to me that there's one huge, obvious problem with seasons two and three:

@CompanyWhippingBoy:disqus , I agree with that, but for practical purposes I'd feel bad about ever advising anyone to sit through seasons two and three (which each had their redeeming qualities, but nevertheless) just to get to the uptick of season four. Better to cut off the limb and cauterize the wound.

Well this feature is off to a very interesting and promising start, and Kaufman doesn't kick things off by telling us we're wrong for liking Children of Men, so I'm looking forward to the next one.
