Pretty much ALL of it can be. That's what Box Office Mojo said, at any rate.

I'm not a del Toro acolyte (I thought the Hellboys were overrated), but Pacific Rim was one of the few big movies this summer that knew ecactly what it was trying to be and delivered what it promised. That's more than can be said for most of the fare this year, no?

Dry, he ain't much. Glistening with oil and popping veins like a freak, he's a star.

So I liked The Wolverine, but you guys didn't think that teaser was underwhelming? It essentially just had two characters show up to say "a sequel is happening!" A sequel , incidentally, that we already knew was happening. Plus, it comes about two minutes after the legitimate end of the movie, which managed to achieve

"Alright guys, staff meeting. As you know, here at The A.V. Club we have one goal above all others: to depict summer blockbusters, most of which are flawless, as being slightly less good than we all know they actually are — somewhere in the B-minus, C-plus range.
"Some of your former colleagues balked at this command.

You heard @avclub-85d8ce590ad8981ca2c8286f79f59954:disqus , guys. It's not an okay flick.

Also, Terry is hot because he/she "looks like Ralph Macchio and dresses like Elvis Costello". Ringing endorsement!

He was on an episode of ST:TNG and he starred in the awesome, short-lived show G vs. E. Google that show! It was great!

I've been saying "yeah, and I'm Cyndi LOW-per" regularly for nearly thirty years now.
Depressing, really.

A friend actually did this to me one time, inspired of course by Handey's joke. I was touched.

I really like it. Sure, some of the singing is, shall we say, unpolished? But it's charming as hell, and I really like the song choices. A trifle perhaps, but an endearing one.

Kills what?!

So you're not Pro-Tiki?

She sure was a great band.

"Who's that?"

So if they had added "…nic Dance Music" they'd be in the clear. Got it.

I'm so glad @avclub-c1fe85b855c6d045b827f74a1e2c3fd7:disqus gets it, and I'm consistantly surprised by all the vitriol that comes from some corners. The 2009 Trek is a crackerjack entertainment, and some people talk about it like it's Revenge of the Fallen or something. That just boggles my mind. That cast is

What @avclub-d72f705337e5adcf7e33ec0381c5f5b2:disqus said. I can highlight it, but even that's weird and problematic. Some funky code stuff going on there.

I'm from Massachusetts, and my fear is that this show will change people's perception of Vinyarders from "Stuck-up bluebloods who are smart and successful" to "Stuck-up bluebloods who are stupid and shallow." We already have The Hills filling that niche!

Abrams seems pretty devisive, given the comments already posted here. So I'll say that I've found every one of his films at least intresting, and some are pretty great.
