Please keep in mind that it's difficult to judge a show based on a pitch. You can't really flesh out the concept behind a series in a pitch; you wouldn't have time to finish before the network executive left the elevator at their floor. I really appreciate the way Zack personalizes the write-up. It really brings a new dimension to the review. As a writer, you rarely get a sense of how your work connects with issues that are important to the viewer; usually you just hear about plot holes and hair and makeup design. I've really been enjoying this

Ah yes, "Rightful Heir" [tosses mane]. I remember getting the original story treatment from Brooks, which had Kahless coming back via a wormhole or time machine or something like that. Berman wanted me to spice it up. I thought the sci-fi gimmickry detracted from what could be a really
