No, it's more sick but a lesser movie in pretty much every way.

But what about when Huck says things like, for example, "n__s can't be reasoned with" - is that part of the same confrontation, or is that a different stream of prejudice/ignorance? Jim is a different story. He's a big-hearted person, that's clear, but his portrayal is very unflattering. Even if it's realistic, it

Saturday: watched a bunch of random True Life and Daily Show episodes on OnDemand.

Here's a handful of obscure ones:

amen to that. I even wanna watch Crazy Stupid Love even though he looks strangely orange in the trailers.

if this is the equivalent in quality to Zombieland (which I found a passable way of spending 2 hours but mostly forgettable), I'm going to pass on this in the theaters. Because I don't need to see some "badass" L.A. Confidential fanfic on the big screen.

Finally watched John Carpenter's The Thing, and besides some minor quibbles with lack of clarity about the fate of a couple characters, I thought it was awesome. God, I love practical effects.

Didn't really read or watch much (except for a random bunch of episodes of Top Gear on BBC America), but listened over and over to two albums: Jessie Ware's Devotion and The Avett Brothers' The Carpenter.

I recently saw When a Woman Ascends the Stairs and immediately related it to Fellini's Nights of Cabiria and Bob Fosse's Sweet Charity; loved the movie, but I am pretty much a sucker for all of those movies.

@Sacrelicious:disqus and @avclub-7ae3704cbb78c46d61af7c86f40e1303:disqus, yeah, as an Asian American, I can distinguish between white folks pretty easily (mass media + live in America) and Asian faces pretty easily, but for people of other races, it's harder to distinguish between strange individuals.

Plus it was super-expensive and a new class of psychiatric drugs were invented that were super-cheaper than lifelong care and housing… unfortunately, getting the mentally ill to consistently take their medication = not easy.

It gets better.
