"Or insane, "I'm a Lesbian- wait a minute, no I'm not!" Broads. ;-)"

Perhaps because you refer to her as "THE GIRLFRIEND"?

I was born very late into my family (my mom was — and this is not a joke — 48) and she too did not upgrade from her tiny 1960 wedding present B&W until the year before I was born! And only then because no one would repair it anymore.

Yes to the Happy Days episode…it had a blue top and a green bottom…I think they may have even criticized the fact that it made a person have a blue face and a green bottom…

♫Something in the moonlight catches my eye
The shadow of a lover goes dancing by
Looking for a little bit of love to grow, so
Give me love, give me heart and soul
You never let me cross to the other side now
I'm tied to the hope that you will somehow
Hard on the heels of something more
But I lost your love, heart and soul♫

Damn that creaky door sound!

I'm going to be very sad once we close out this season…

Jay. Jay. Jay. The Leech Woman. Oh my god, that MST3k episode is gold.

Hah! I just congratulated a person above for the A Most Unusual Camera observation some 5 hours after I read your post…and sure enough you mentioned it first!

A Most Unusual Camera is the obvious comparison and I missed it by a mile! Great observation.

Thank YOU for the recs!

"Daddy, what is that red stuff coming out of kitty's ears?"

"Damn it Ernie, I'm trying to bake a cake heahhh! Will you get outta the kitchen and quit actin' like such a doarrrk!" is what Uncle Charlie would say.

Whoa, I am assuming you were being facetious with "hateful", because this is the most genteel of all commenting corners in all of AVClub :)

I would have settled for a little bit of Heart And Soul

I Am The Night is the one I'm most interesting in hearing about. Ann03 had good things to say about it, and some of it may surprise you on a second viewing. MAYBE.

Hmmm, odd that I knew a TON of grandmothers that loved old-timey TV wrestling.

As unpleasant as The Box may be, it is at least striking that this made it on to network television in the 60s. This is nasty, nasty stuff.

Ah, this should provide adequate sustenance for my Dr. Who marathon…
