I heard Kanye was a hermaphrodite.

If they made a shirt that said :

Normally I would join in making crude sexual comments about Kristin Kreuk, but I can't understand what the hell you people are saying (except the wonton one, I got that. Hee. Wonton.) The sentence structure on this thread is just atrocious. Honestly. There's nothing worse than a pervert with bad grammar.

Forget "Southland Tales"?
No. I will not. Nathan said it's a fiasco, and that's fine. But I will not ever forget that glorious absurdist masterpiece. There aren't too many filmmakers who create something truly bat-fucking crazy, and I for one am glad there are people like Richard Kelly around making it happen.

Good Actor/Bad Movies
I have a strange relationship with Patrick Swayze's movies. I have a surprising amount of fondness for the guy considering I think he's made mostly crappy movies. "Red Dawn" is the only thing he's made that I think is good (actually great) and I need to revisit "Point Break", but mostly I've

I don't think "Roadhouse" is a terribly great movie, even in a cult/campy way, but I actually think Swayze gives a great perfomance in it.

Since Gwyneth loves Asian culture so much…
does this mean she watches tentacle porn?

Arch Enemy
Please, please, please tell me the voice in that Arch Enemy song was not a woman. Because that would be horrible.

Richelieu - you can never have too many happy faces, or… whatever emotion that crack is expressing.

You speak for me
I love Beavis and Butthead and I miss them. It's frustrating that legal and monetary issues and apparently Mike Judge's desire to bury some of the episodes he's less proud of will prevent the show from ever getting a proper dvd release.

I revisited this recently and I have to say I thought the CGI was pretty crappy, even for the time. I still have fondness for it despite it's general dopeyness, but in regards to early computer effects "Tron" kicked its ass two years before it came out. Speaking of upcoming sequels to 80s sci-fi aimed at kids…

Teen Wolf, Too?
Have any "Arrested Development" fans out there seen "Teen Wolf, Too", starring Jason Bateman (of the upcoming "Extract")? I would actually watch it for myself, but I'm afraid it would be unbearably horrible.

But what if they have delivery van surfing, and at the end of every episode they play that song that I still get stuck in my head sometimes even though I haven't seen this movie in almost two decades…

Kix - Anyone's Guess?
Not that I would expect any reasonable person to watch more VH1 than absolutely necessary, but if you had you would have learned, as I did, that the lead singer for Kix was banging Lita Ford at one point. Apparently Lita was suicidal for a time and expressed this sentiment in her duet with Ozzy

Since they just reviewed "The Final Destination" I'll go ahead and say that the first "Final Destination" movie missed a fucking slam dunk by not having "Don't Fear the Reaper" play over the closing credits. I mean, come on! How can you _not_ have that song in the movie. I don't care how much the rights would have

Dan - I had the same interpretation of "Exit Music" (as I imagine a lot of people probably did). It's the fact that the narrator refers to "your father" and is telling someone to wake and get dressed that makes it seem like a mother talking to her child.

Rasil - you're thinking of the giant vulture from "Clash of the Titans" which was made in the same straight-ahead adventurous spirit as all of Harryhausen's other works, not camp. Of course you can interpret it however you want.

What gives is that it is in fact awesome. Don't listen to the haters. Netflix that shit for yourself. You won't be sorry. You'll see a hobo getting his arm melted off. You'll see a guy get folded in half backwards.

Narrators
Steve, I agree with you on the unneccesary narration, but there's one example I can think of (besides Shawshank) where it's awesome. In "Casino" when Joe Pesci is beaten with baseball bats and his narration reflects the pain and shock as it's happening.

How about the scraping metal knife sound even when the knife is just being held in the air and not touching anything?
