I went to Sara Bareilles' video first only to see VEVO rubbing it in her face…http://imgur.com/wwMNsXO
And Adam Duritz dated Courtney Cox, who was on the biggest sitcom in the world at the time.
Ah. Well then. certainly more than a hint. At least it was written beautifully.
What's the "hint of racism" in Gatsby? It's been a while since I've read it.
- If the e-cards were still working, that's what my fiance would be getting today.
@avclub-1fff65b467231ccb1cd18df4b4d88d9a:disqus that was Black Sheep, an apropos name for the place that film sits in the Farley canon…though I love it just as much as Tommy Boy.

Klosterman wrote a terrific piece about Chris Gaines. I'd link it if Google Books didn't piecemeal their previews.
All of this negative discussion comes from music scenes having "principles." At the end of the day, it's about being compensated for your work. That's a universal principle.

I understand if they're moving it from the prime opener spot of 8 pm - it hasn't turned out to be the blockbusting "Friends" they were hoping for. Even moving it all the way to 9:30 would be fine - just don't cancel it.
I have a friend that feels the way you do about Spanglish, and we always clash on it. Sandler was fine, but he was just walking through the motions. The main girl wasn't nearly as attractive as the characters acted as if she was, and Tea Leoni was a screeching weasel the whole movie.
Fitting more in the "tone of the show" category, you can't deny the Mad Men theme song's ability to prepare you for what you're about to watch. The way it starts as a classical-sounding string number then adds the modern break-beat also subtly indicates that it's a modern spin on another era.
See, I think all of those match the tones of their respective shows, musically. Though the office is the only one I would listen to as a 3 minute pop song.
