What do you think of me, a person who enjoys Black Sabbath and Vampire Weekend in pretty equal measure? I'll admit, I'd still give the edge to Black Sabbath just because I'm not the biggest Contra fan, but Vampire Weekend still puts out some good tunes.

This might be heresy, given that I haven't listened to this album, but I'd be willing to bet that it'd be a hard stretch to call what Ozzy does here singing. I saw Dave Davies and, while he was nowhere near as much a partier, his voice still sounded really off. Now, with age, excessive drinking, and the fact that his

If you're okay with DVD's, Prince Of Space is also a fun one. Soultaker is good, although it might have a little more resonance if you've seen earlier seasons of MST3K. The Final Sacrifice was my first, and it's a real classic. Eegah is cheesy fun. Hopefully, that'll be a start. Also, nearly every MST3K episode is on

Really? Is it just more technically complex that it can't really be sung live? My only exposure to the Phantom musical is through the film version, so I'm pretty ignorant about what the actual show is like.

Batman:TAS, followed by the X-Men and Spider-Man cartoons, followed by Adam West version Batman.

Actually, I just compared Annie Lennox to Seal, just in terms of hearing one right after the other. However, no argument here that Ms. Lennox is a phenomenal singer which makes the material on her album much more interesting.

This was a very light week for me. Still unsure of whether I got the job at the Urology Department, nor even when my Pathology job actually ends. It's a very static situation right now.

Throughout the week: I've continued my Babylon 5 viewing and have made it through halfway through season 2. The Coming Of Shadows was

No, I enjoy Oasis a ton as well. They were also really great at making some damn good B-Sides which I listen to as much, or maybe a bit more, than their albums.

@AmaltheaElanor:disqus I agree with your last sentence. I'm just annoyed at how much they missed with the sequel. More than Abrams, I really want Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman, and Damon Lindeloff gone from the movie series, since the majority of the failings come from the script, more than anything else.

How can Beady Eye fail? It's Beady Eye music, mate!

But it's not like every time you make a decision, you actually see and touch and interact with people that come about from your decisions. That's what makes this a bit more trickier.

@AmaltheaElanor:disqus Except Into Darkness really didn't do much with that freedom, choosing instead to recreate a version of an older film. Still one of the big disappointments of the year, especially from someone who quite liked the 2009 Star Trek.

Making fun of the Mad Men previews, which are some of the more indecipherable coming attractions around. The Not Available On comes from the time when AMC wasn't available on The Dish Network, which was mentioned then in the ads for every AMC show.

It might be the one chance of seeing a movie in NY and being the only person in the theater.

Once again, the government is imposing on my rights to break as many laws as I want, even on a day when there are no laws. Thanks Obama!!!

Actually, wouldn't any bartenders concocting the type of drinks they're depicting immediately ensure that a bar is no longer a dive? I associate dive bars with a grunginess that mixologists don't really convey.

Wild guess for what happened: cannibalism by pygmies.

Also, from last week, there was a film called Triumph Of The Wall, notable for opening in two theaters and only making $800 for the entire weekend. Kinda ironic, really, given the title.

This actually sounds like it should have been given to Lee Daniels to direct just so it could at least be completely insane. Then again, it's not looking like The Butler is going to be too crazy, so who knows if he could've done anything with this.

Are you somehow implying that a film taking a serious look at love and relatioships between characters who are seen every nine years wouldn't have been improved by the sudden revelation that it was Purge Day and Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy had to hide themselves from hordes of insane Greeks? Or hell, just getting
