@avclub-14072b2ff783182847122db384e8863f:disqus No, though I've heard really great things about it. Honestly, while Lazar does lean a bit more inspirational than the other way, it's still filled with a darkness that definitely stands in contrast to other films of its type.

@avclub-d542a3419c3ad57206a96bcc86155ebc:disqus Don't worry about the thank you note. Sent that out as one of my first priorities after it had ended. Got a nice little response back to it, but no decision. If I was really lucky, everyone else who interviewed didn't sent a thank you note and that would be the decisive

Pretty decent week for me, as I had my first interview for my first job out of
college. Thought it went well. Certainly, the people who interviewed me were
quite warm. I’ll find out by the end of the coming week if I got it. Now, on to
my week in pop culture.

Was there some issue in accessing this article? How the hell does an article about The Wire not have over 100 comments?

@avclub-62812d8eb06386505986efff8b5e43ac:disqus and however you make that other person's name, I do not make any claims that I think that she was fired because she was a woman. I can see how it came out that way and I apologize for the wording. As I said, I have no idea what caused her to be fired. I very much doubt

@avclub-c0e26742d0801c0282dc874f778505e7:disqus  It's for precisely the reason that @avclub-3456fec7a520e406700a3e9ea78faac6:disqus stated. I want good interesting movies to succeed and films that look awful to bomb because I'd like it if more films similar to the ones I like are made and vice versa. I don't feel like

Was there one with Once In A Lifetime? The only one I saw for it had Road To Nowhere. Both awesome songs either way.

The problem is that it doesn't seem like this film has much of a sense of fun about itself and seems like it takes itself way too seriously. Sometimes, that could be funny if it's done really incompetently and with mundane things, like The Room. But with something like Abe Lincoln hunting vampires, it doesn't look

@wolfmansRazor:disqus Not that I really, truly believe that Pixar is a sexist company. However, if one were to make that argument, I'd say the fact that the original female director, whose relationship with her daughter was the whole basis of the film, was sacked in favor of another male director would be a better

I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry you feel that way.

It would be hilarious if this plays out like the final scene of Melancholia just when Carrell and Knightley get together.
