@avclub-0fd79996a2d601c6e0f2bff37375ae2e:disqus  I think you lay out a good argument for why it was both necessary and disappointing for Tony B to die. However, the only nitpick I have, and correct me if I'm wrong because I haven't seen it in awhile, is that the shooting of Leotardo and his brother does actually get

I guess he thought it might still be appropriate, considering this a school where two students went to the university professor to ask if they could copulate on a desk for an art project.

From my personal experience, most of the Franco fervor happened when I was a Freshman. I never knew of anyone who'd run into Starbucks specifically because of him, but I certainly knew a few people who would be near him and be really excited. And it wasn't just Tisch people either.

@avclub-9bc7c50cb3e4a1098f934bde8d7dee8c:disqus  Really? Was there anything special about the student or was it just because it made the faculty look like fools for not noticing it? I just ask because I'm a student in the department now and they make it sound like very severe if anyone is caught plagiarizing. For them

Man, Holiday Undercover is kicking the original version's arse this year. Just a lot of really great tunes with this go round, with this one being such a great rocker. Can't wait for the last two if this is the quality standard.

I feel that here is as a good a place as any to ask, given the shittiness of the film being discussed. I'm wondering where's the review for We Need To Talk About Kevin. It definitely opens up tomorrow in NYC and I would think it'd be a more significant film to review than this one. I mean, if no one saw it again, I

While I wouldn't say it was a great film, familial pride still has me happy that Girlfriend won an award, with the director being a cousin of mine. One I don't see often granted, but it's still kind of cool to have someone you're related to by blood take home a prize.

I don't think you can put anything by Birdemic on here, just because it's a legitimately great bad movie where just about every scene is absolutely insane or filled with hilariously bad CGI. One scene alone does not make that movie. It needs to be taken in its totality.

Was this written by Noel and accidentally attributed to Todd? I mean, I know Todd is the TV go to guy, but I don't think he needs to get credit for every TV idea.

I'm not sure if these are on the second page, but if not, here are my contributions.

She is indeed one rad lady and from this video, she seems like a really cool person and would be fun to get into a conversation with.

Well, from the intro video, we do know that this series will later go to both Ben Folds and Matthew Sweet, both of which are great and both of whom have a deep enough career span that we could see some older song being covered.

Does anyone know if there are any recaps about that first season? I missed out on it and it seems like one of the most fascinating train wrecks of all time in terms of really, really weird people.

Exactly. Every time I go to see a film that plays this featurette about this film, with Emmerich saying that the more he reads, the more he's convinced that Shakespeare did not write his plays, the more I want to throw something about him. The best part about shitty films like this getting released is that I can

@avclub-e7c26e48b7ee853cbf5e49de5d800745:disqus Actually, Todd did mention Modern Family in the write-up for The Middle. Modern Family decided to just rerun their previous Halloween episode rather than make a new one. Thus, no Modern Family to review tonight.

Too long, didn't read.

Even though it's similar to Bambi in how it was done, I'd have to include Finding Nemo. Just reading the write-up for it made me think of that opening where the shark kills her. Just so awful. And I think it did a great job with showing both Nemo and Marlin having their reactions to the death.

Do people not read? Don't answer, I know not. It mentions it in the article, but because this has been promised before many a time, it's hard to take as seriously.

@avclub-78ff5ad3e86e20985bc2792f0b440469:disqus  I'm a little too lazy to look, but is one of them The Best Days Of Our Years or something like that? Because that was definitely a brutal piece of work in terms of showing possible industrial accidents.

The angle I got from the write-up that, just as James Dean helped define the persona of the rebellious teenager, John Cazale helped define the image of the spineless individual.
