I have to agree. Jim battling with Robert California might have been stakes I cared about.

So, after that glimmer of hope from last week that they might still understand how to tell a coherent story, they managed to flush it all down the toilet with this ridiculous mess. They bring David Wallace back as the voice of reason and then have him fall for Robert California's scam. Andy's life is nearly destroyed

Yeah, how is $20 million enough to buy Dunder Mifflin and still give away a cool million to Robert California?

I'd say there are about 300,000 reasons an episode why they will continue.

Yeah, season 6 was almost as big a disaster as this year.

Nellie wandered into an office she had no previous experience with, sat down in the manager's chair and declared herself in charge. She had no idea who Andy was or whether he was going to come in that day. The fact that Andy was off in Florida was just a random bit of bad writing tossed in to try and justify this

I think after four seasons, one scene in the pilot can't really be taken as evidence they were doing a mockumentary. Even in the first season, the cameras went places that made no sense. Showing up in Ann's living room at night pretty much eliminated the concept early on.

Parks & Rec has always stretched the rules far more that The Office ever has. The characters have never acknowledged the cameras as if there were actual cameraman operating them.

The thing that's annoying is that California's decision to can the Sabre tablet was a smart move. He obviously wasn't involved in the design or production of it and killed it before more cash was flushed down the toilet on it. It would have made more sense for the product to be functional and have him end the project

Yeah, this story would have worked much better if rather than the Nellie and Andy/Erin stuff they have been wasting time with, they had focused the past 5 episodes re-introducing David Wallace and demonstrating Robert California's incompetence. Have him fire Andy for some random and trivial reason, reassign the

The complete unwillingness of the writers to commit to Nellie is what bothers me about the character. Is she an evil corporate climber using her connections to Jo to get ahead or is she a sad pathetic soul just trying to find a place to land? Are we supposed to dislike her or feel sympathetic? They have used both

While it is a bit of a retread, there are enough things I like about the Andy/David Wallace story that my only real complaint is that they should have spent five episodes developing it. Skip the entire Nellie story, have the crew return from Florida and slowly begin to realize that Robert California is going to

Having the company split into rival factions for the final season would be something I might like to watch. Of course that means they will never do it.

It's not like they are stealing sales from the company so firing does sound like the worst that could happen to them. I liked that they are so fed up with the company they just decided to screw it out of some cash.

I have to agree that this was the best episode since the Florida story. Yes, it could have been better developed and it's much too late to rehabilitate Nellie, but there were some laughs and I liked the dawning realization by Jim and Dwight that there was a problem. Maybe not great, or even good, but at least middling

The Office deserves one last season to wrap things up. If they could get Greg Daniels back to run it then it might not suck as bad as it has this year.

I could see two more seasons of Party Down, but I think I'm happy with the 20 perfect episodes we got. I'd hate to think of them putting out a bunch of crappy ones and ruin the whole franchise.

What they did to Jim is a crime. They took the lead, likable character and turned him into an idiot at every turn. Krasinski should sue.

Don't ever watch a Season 2 episode and Season 8 episode back-to-back. You will die. It's like that video tape in The Ring.

Every boss after him has been a caricature. Without someone like him it is hard to buy their are any stakes for the other characters.
