You realize that is the same woman, right? They just stuck her at Andy's old desk while Pam was still in the office.

Do you have a lot of weapons stored around the office?

Count me as another who enjoyed this episode. This review struck me as another attempt by Myles to force the show into some mold that exists only in his mind. And I liked Jim being dragged into the mess and his desperate attempt to weasel out of it called back to his dislike of confrontation. Certainly this was better

I don't buy the 'limited ammo" bit at all. I just read an article where a large gun manufacturer sold 1.2 billion rounds of ammo in 2010. Not to mention all those Army and National Guard bases. Give them a year or two and then ammo becomes a concern. Wandering around the South a couple months after zombie apocalypse,

Yeah, there would have to be at least a couple of nearby farms that they could take over. And if they are overrun with zombies it just points out how ridiculous it is that Herschel's farm is untouched. The zombie trapping swamp doesn't eliminate the fact there is a road right up to the front door.

Please, please, please, make Emily a secret ninja!

This has been my feeling all along. This is taking place in Georgia. There should be enough guns and ammo to keep everyone strapped for a lifetime. I'd have everyone carrying an M-4 with 5 clips every second of the day. And no kindly old vet would be able to tell me to put them away. This is the one situation where

No heavy-handed emotional stuff? Did you miss Jim's heartfelt pep talk he gave Andy at the end? For about the third time this season? And did we really need another "Kevin is a moron" story?

Ha ha, your sarcasm is hilarious!

I don't know, those problems were present while Carell was still involved with the show and I don't think he exerted much control.

RIGHT.

Wouldn't anyone want to get out of those situations? And use any excuse to do so?

Yeah, Season 1 has Diversity Day, which I think deserves a top ten slot.

The Michael Scott Paper Company story was the last multi-episode arc they completed successfully. Since then there hasn't been a shred of character development that they haven't been happy to toss over the side for a joke.

Yeah, "Grief Counseling" should be off the list if only for the last shot mimicking the famous picture from Abu Ghraib.

I usually try and come up with something positive to say, but this one just fell flat. Okay, I laughed at the Schrute Farms video.

"It's Pat!"

I'm not sure what they mean by producer on a network sitcom. I think she may be the only writer who has moved into a supervisory position as a lot of the other senior writers have moved on. If you listen to her commentaries on the DVD's it's obvious that her sensibilities have come to dominate the writing.

You should watch the show sometime. You'd be less impressed with the intelligence involved.

Yeah, the decline of the show corresponds perfectly with the move of Daniels and Schur to Parks & Rec. While the show runner (Lieberstein) should take a huge chunk of the blame, it is obvious that Kaling has a lot of influence in the writers room and that her love of "wackiness" has driven the show down.
