The exceedingly excellent "Observe and Report" featured both Michael Pena and Jesse Plemons playing exactly to type; Pena fun but secretly diabolical, and Plemons somewhat dim but ultimately steadfast. Also loved Pena's stint in Season 2 of "Eastbound and Down."

I remember overhearing a bunch of 8th grade girls in a video store talking about renting this movie when it came out. "Yeah, Carrie, you'll love the first scene." That was more disturbing than the movie itself.
