I guess that's why Doc was so easy to fool.  If he could actually have  SEEN these posing young whippersnappers he never would have been taken in.  Sadly, he believed his lyin' ears.

Here's a random list of Old Crow originals I like almost as much as Wagon Wheel:

Name those dozen or so other bands then, because if they all make OCMS look "wack" in comparison, I'm really missing out.  Old Crow is one of the better live bands I've seen in any genre, totally tight musically and exuding a genuine love for the form they've chosen.

I didn't care for You Shall Know Our Velocity either, but A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, What is the What, and Zeitoun are all remarkable books.

The Ragged Glory tour.  The day I saw a show on that tour is among the most memorable days of my life.  We spent the entire day gripped in a panic of irresponsible chemical intake.  Things started coming back into focus just before the show.  Looking back I still can't quite identify which amazed me more: the music,

This was actually my favorite sentence in the whole piece, followed closely by the very next one:  "The film is such a barren comic wasteland of scatology and misogyny that
Vanilla Ice steals the film with a good-natured, self-deprecating
portrayal of himself as Sandler’s sleazy party buddy."

I was pleasantly surprised by my first listen.  I love Neil, but my hopes weren't high after reading about this record.  But the Horse sounds pretty good here.  This review is way more representative of what I heard than allmusic's 2-star "shit sandwich" review: http://www.allmusic.com/alb…

As the Most Interesting Man in the World, I have a hard time separating the degree to which a thing is interesting from the degree to which that thing sucks or is awesome.  To me there's not much difference between saying a thing is the least interesting thing of its kind in the universe and saying that thing sucks.

Hey Poor, I think you're expecting too much from a guy who pimps what is quite possibly the least interesting beer in the universe.  But I need the money, you know?
