That's my best guess. We don't know who those guys who flagellated him were, but castrating him seems entirely in their wheelhouse.

The degree to which this show feeds plot points to the furnace is remarkable.

I'm sort of hoping he returns with cyborg parts next season, half his head a Terminator skull.

I really, really want him to go onto bigger things from Banshee. That physicality and that charisma is begging for more than just playing a thug on some other show.

"Our dancers are independent contractors. You're telling me we can't get 1099s?" *Glasses come off*

Hah! If that was intentional that's awesome.

Sadly, his Rolls Royce is probably still in the shop after the Burton/Nola fight.

I was worried Deva was going that direction, then we had the pool fight last week and all was restored.

My theory is that Cinemax wants very badly to be taken seriously as a cable network, and their scaling back of the nudity is part of that.

I watched his Banshee: Origins episode last night after finishing my review, and it's almost exactly the same thing give or take some wobbly camera added to emphasize how messed-up Burton's head is.

Thank you!

Aw, thanks!

My understanding is that it's a mix of it being an expensive show to produce and the fact that Cinemax co-produces it in conjunction with Sky1 in the UK. As Cinemax continues to get more into original programming they want programs they own entirely.

I was more surprised that apparently the knife didn't puncture the femoral artery.

Thank you so much for the kind words! This show is a joy to write about.

Well, honest in comparison to a lot of other people who hang around Proctor.

I will look into talking with Yaitanes at some point before the finale.

According to Wikipedia it's pulling about 600,000 for initial viewings. But given that it's pay cable they operate on their own metrics for success - On Demand viewings, endless replay over the week, etc.

No, that was Proctor's bedroom. His mother was in a downstairs guest room.

Amazing.
