I chatted briefly with Biegel after the screening. The vibe I was getting from both him and Royce was very positive, but a lot of that was probably due to the energy of the room - he wasn't going to bring everyone down with news the show was definitively dead. I would say they're legitimately optimistic about it, but

He was the antagonist in "Paint Cart 5000 vs. The Mondo Spider." But "Prank War" was clearly designed as his introduction, despite airing second.

Oh man! That's a fantastic touch. I missed that due to lower resolution on my screeners.

Technically he wasn't abducted, he was in the exact wrong place at the wrong time. Peter Gregory didn't want to trap him on the island, his smart car just malfunctioned.

Diversity Commissar! I got a promotion! I love the fancy hat and topcoat that comes with it.

I apologize for nothing.

My understanding is they would have aired this one fourth, except that Fox thought the football focus of "Homecoming" would play better in such close proximity to the Super Bowl.

Especially because they began their second season with all the leftover episodes from season one. It felt like eating leftover casserole nobody else wanted.

Also a tremendous moment. But Keith David's sheer self-satisfaction in that moment is my everything.

Get the word out!

Chubowski's use of "decolletage" was a delight.

Frankly, I think it'd be funnier if that's the case.

If only Erlich could have been there to slap Joffrey around a bit.

I was stunned they didn't bring him or MacLachlan back for the finale. I would have loved to see MacLachlan playing the Mayor of New Beaverton, clad in fleece and a thick beard.

I put Review more in the sitcom sphere than I do the sketch sphere, even though it's got many elements of sketch to it.

It was odd, but I like the fact that the show can do stories that don't need to be about Pied Piper. It bodes well for the show's longevity and variety.

Oh man, I missed that! Great eye.

Unfortunately I haven't had the chance to see Betas. Given how many people have been citing it in the comments, I'll take a look.
