This is one instance where I do wish that I'd seen the whole series before talking about the episode. I have no idea if this is direction is an outlier for the show or not.

ZESE CLOCKS! VE MUST FIND ZESE CLOCKS! VE MUST STOP ZE CLOCKS!
Sigh.
No exaggeration, it is the hardest part of the process.
Gah, that's correct. Change has been made.
It would. I meant it more in the order I personally discovered them in, as I've watched Breaking Bad prior to this.
I certainly in no way meant the term in any sort of hate speech context. I meant to use the word as a synonym for gentile, emphasizing the vast gulf between Gretchen (who said "I'm not going to heaven now!" of her conversion) and the tow truck driver with whom Robert could see a more traditional Jewish future. I did…
Chagrined. I am chagrined.
Thanks for the kind words! It's nice to hear. Apologies if the grades got confusing - while I had much to nitpick on, my grades tended to be my immediate reaction after the episodes, and most episodes tended to have enough moments that I liked I could justify pushing the grade a notch higher than I normally would.
I commented a couple weeks ago that during one of the firefights, I could almost hear Eric Kripke's voice: "Remember when this was a show where the absence of weapons meant everyone fought with muskets and swords, and a sniper rifle was a valuable resource? We certainly hope not!"
I don't understand the comment, and I won't respond to it. Wait, I did respond to it. Oops.
I cackled at hearing him say that. Between that and "And you can go back to being general of my nuts" Esposito got the best worst lines.
So, so, so annoying. I've spent so much time complaining about it I just didn't have the energy to do so again this time around.
Thanks for reading!
Entirely your choice. Thanks for the compliments!
Agreed. Falling Skies knows exactly what it is, and what it is is serviceable fun summer sci-fi. I'm looking forward to talking about it next week.
Sort of half-railgun, half-grenade launcher hybrids.
I didn't mention that in the review because I have respect for my readers' valuable time. It was even worse than that bullshit monologue they used at the first half of the season.
If those missiles actually succeed in wiping out Philadelphia and Atlanta I'll be stunned.
I reviewed Falling Skies last year - and will be reviewing it again when it comes back next week - and while I have problems with it too, I think it's structurally a much, much better show than Revolution is.
