Agreed - if the show wants to build to a confrontation between Miles and Neville, that would make things far more interesting. The scene with Nate and Charlie was okay, but that's mostly because when she first tripped I groaned at the thought they're basically proving Miles right for leaving his niece behind.

Given the fact that the irritating opening sequence shows crates full of AK-47s, I have to assume there'll be more firepower showing up in future weeks.

I will give them credit for not doing that, yes. I just wish they'd found a way to fit it more into the episode's action, as opposed to feeling like I was watching a different show where The Cape kidnapped Dr. Juliette Burke.
