That's a good question. I'd say that while this was certainly the best episode of the season (possibly series, though it's been a while since I saw S1), I've been dissatisfied with enough of the show's beats in recent episodes that I'm not sure if this is an anomaly or a sign of better things to come. Consider the A-

Thanks for clarification - I'm out on the West Coast, so I don't have a point of reference what's happening in the show. (And the fact that it's all so obviously Canada is additional complication.)

Ben making the decision to join her is actually the decision I bought the most this episode, for all those reasons.

He apparently went through a major growth spurt between seasons, which I've heard is part of his increased profile this season.
