Awful, awful, awful. It should not take five minutes for any sort of creature appearance, twenty-five minutes for Monroe to show up, and should not have such weak guest performances. Everything about this episode indicates to me that it was actually written and finished earlier in the run, but they kept postponing it

Sadly no Ezio, but last week had some very Assassin's Creed-style moments.

Talk to Todd about that. I have a hunch I don't get one until Borgias wraps.

If you're watching this tape, it means that once again you have danced with the devil.

You guys are talking about the same person: he's biracial, his name is David, and he's a human being.

Huzzah!

It was only okay in the first season, but it's gotten considerably better in the second.

(Slow clap) Well done Rowan, well done. I fell off watching after the first season (stupid Netflix) but absolutely loved following along with your reviews at the same time. Just scored a S2 DVD set a while back and will be going back through the ones I missed. Kudos for finishing the journey.

No, not Ken Cosgrove but Ben Hargrove, creative writing teacher. Either that or Dave Algonquin.

The beatific expressions on Lucrezia's face as she's busy manipulating people like her ex-husband and her brother are some of the best points of the show. She came across as too child-like in the pilot episode, but her education has made her naturally peaceful appearance far more interesting.

Do you know my favorite thing about this review? There's not a single mention of what the episode's storyline was. The show is now so bad it voids your ability to follow its narrative.

Thanks for the kind words Kevin! I too agree that this wasn't as strong an episode as the last two, but another good brick in the world-building Grimm needs to do. Nick becoming a badass does seem a little too advanced, but as a cop I imagine he went through some reasonable amounts of unarmed combat training. And

Achievement Unlocked: Grimm Reaper.

That's something that's really been bothering me too, hence my hopes from last week that Portland could be something of a staging ground for the Wesen resistance. As a Portland resident I know for a fact the city collects lots of the fringe element (Chuck Palahniuk's book about us was called "Fugitives and Refugees")

As I said last week, he's also seeming stupider every episode with all this strange stuff happening and no questions being asked. The status quo can't be allowed to make it to season two.

I'll just pretend he got an address from the wallet and leave it at that.

That's an interesting interpretation - I could see that. Just based on the way the scene was shot and the expression on his face, it was hard to tell if he was taking sexual pleasure, was curious about the reaction, or if he even killed him.

While the circumstances were different, the actual event did happen. According to several historical sources, when the French army invaded Naples in 1501, Pope Alexander VI allied with the Orsini family to secure certain parts of land. While campaigning he named Lucrezia as regent, as one professor said: "providing

Common consensus seems to be no one liked that character. I always thought she was less annoying than Paolo in terms of romantic interests for the Borgia family, but I can see why few people cared.

"You see these? These are for you, Cesare. These are for you for as long as it takes me to get even."
