I saw this movie, and I think the reviewer was off. Particularly the bathroom scene: the reviewer thought it was comical, I thought it was heartbreaking. The movie is a lot more enjoyable if you can empathize with the main characters. Failure on behalf of the reviewer to make that leap doesn't invalidate the film.
