I think the name thing is because Rump was creating a spell to make Emma-super strong. He must have known what he did with the ink. That's why they needed it to defeat Cora. The ink in spell form is what gives Emma super-magic resistance.

I just realized how Rump tricked them. The squid-ink Emma-scroll was a spell. He needed them to get it to strengthen Emma. He's still playing everybody! I think Emma is now strong enough to break the new curse.
