I figured he didn't get custody due to his criminal history. I tend to fill in a lot of back story though. In my head, he already had a history of violent outbursts(hence the judge actually keeping the kids away from him), and he was a specialist in demolition.

i jut started watching at the end of last season. I may have missed nuance, but I could still follow the plot.

People can theorize about things anywhere, but some things (time travel, universe crossing) will only work in the NE where the laws of physics are unraveling.

"And these freaks can't just magically appear each week in New England to give them something to chase … right?"
Fringe events are caused by Walter breaking the universe in upstate New York. While weird things can happen in other places (e.g. Jones), I think most weird things in the fringe Universes really do tend to

you're right. at the time I thought she was seeing her father's death, but your interpretation makes total sense.

i kind of hoped that they dropped the first people storyline because it was 1) ridiculously circular and 2)only worked if you could control for continental drift within a couple of inches.

I have no idea what you're talking about. since you've started, maybe you can explain in a lot more detail?

seriously. James/David is so sketchy. Would it kill him to sleep on the couch while he sorts things out?

Actually, that kind of makes sense. The whole dark curse as an elaborate plot to get his son into a world where he can avoid ogres and date random blondes.

I guess I think Peter should have asked these questions the second he saw Jones. I worried that maybe I missed an episode over the break.

No, I think they were just upset because she forgot. If her need to buy a thimble was a homing signal that was activated, the taunting of the mannequins was just the next phase in reminding her. Marsha got the creepy mannequin snooze button treatment

I have a lot of questions about William Bell. Is there no ZFT manual in Amber? Was there ever? Did Bell still sacrifice himself to get Walter and Olivia back home? (Also, how did Fauxlivia sneak into Ourlivia's life if Olivia can't cross over, and wouldn't have crossed over anyway because there was no Peter to

I don't know either. There's a massive dynamic, but seemingly no Bell. Yet there's no reason that the amber Bell should have died since there was no need for the Peter rescue.

As I remember that story, all he did to break up the marriage was go to the gym. She was the one who used to wait there for hours so she could talk to him

I found the anti-foster care/anti-adoption messages the most disturbing. The show throws them out there every week. I'm not even adopted and I feel offended watching that.

Weird, because I can watch this in Continental Europe. Maybe the UK is just out of the loop?

Yes!
The books deepen as the kids grew up. The first couple are super cute (I like puns and alliteration). They progressively get more literary, sometimes shockingly so (how many books for 8-year-olds reference Anais Nin!?). The last book has some of the most profound passages about life that I've ever read.

I think she kills herself after the second Peter's death. It happened pretty quickly after the first Peter died.

as i remember, the information sticks were in the arm, so they weren't shapeshifters. However, it wouldn't surprise me to find out that Nina has known all along. We still know so little about her.
