The last show I decided not to watch because I couldn't "buy" the premise was Sleepy Hollow, and good lord am I glad I turned around so early on it.

The whole Jurassic Park coffee cup shot was already a good start. Leading to the bouncy castle was possibly the greatest payoff ever.

I actually interpreted the scenario as Jake telling him "we're not friends anymore" being the trigger that sent Boyle into his violence spurt. Whether or not Jake intended that to be the case or if it was just the natural result of the cover is more open to interpretation.

The time jump is also a fantastic way of accounting for certain actors' (particularly younger ones, especially younger male ones) voices changing. It'd been three-plus years between the time Logan Wells started recording as Meelo; he could only hold onto that precocious-kid voice for so long before it started
